I hope Panda Bear comes back this year. and another name I was just thinking about, it would be really cool to see Julian Casablancas + the Voidz on the lineup.
I thought they couldn't get the civic center area? So wouldn't it be a different setup than 2015?
Well, the civic center just sold in the last month. There haven't been any development schedules released, but i'm leaning on SK not getting the lots, which is troubling. Central park is better than centennial, but you're still going to run into space issues with it (acoustically speaking).

Having said all this, it would be neat if they managed to get a hold of the lot directly north of central park, as the building that used to be there got demolished and it's been sitting as a vacant field for awhile now and it is pretty big actually. It isn't part of the park though but hey - - they have 6 months to get in touch with the owners!

I forgot to mention this, but a few months ago I sent an email to Broken Social Scene's booking manager to see if they had any FL shows in the works. He got back to me and let me know that no FL shows were planned, which was a bummer. I sent a follow-up email asking if it's possible they'll play Shaky Knees, but got no response.

I saw them back in September at the Tabby and they said how much they love to play in ATL.
Don't know if lots of bands really do love ATL the most or if every band says that to every city
I like how he says he was "lost in performance" and kicking over various lighting on stage and didn't know it was a person. While the video clearly shows him casually walking around and randomly kicking the photographer's camera. His statement makes it sound like it was craziness on stage. Not to mention saying "fuck Muse" and calling the crowd retards.
I wonder if this could get messy enough to cause SK (assuming they've booked them) to take them off the lineup. Probably not, but either way a lot of people are going to be way less excited to see them headlining. What he did was disgusting and that apology is ridiculously weak. Along with cutting his face and calling the crowd retards? I know he's done the rants and stuff before but it seems like something might be going on with Homme. Never been more than a casual fan really but this is disappointing.

Yeah his "sincere apology" just makes it that much worse imo.

I agree completely. Being a music photographer for 10+ years and a big fan of Queens for 15 some years this has really hit home for me and bums me out to say the least. It was 100% intentional and there's more than enough proof. Unacceptable behavior to ruin someone's creativity and passion while they try to document YOUR moments on stage. Pretentious jerk and a big let down.
On a positive note if they do play Shaky maybe I'll fall in love with an undercard that'll be playing the same timeslot.

They'd be headliners, so most likely unopposed I believe.

I think QOTSA will have to drop out from their festival performances... This is 2017, people don't forgive you for stuff like this as easily as they did before.
QOTSA already put out a very forgettable album this year so I'd already lost lots of interest in them but this seals the deal, screw QOTSA.

I'm not sure they will. It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention, at least from what I've seen.
Edit: I may be wrong about that after looking it up now lol. Yeah, now I'm a little more doubtful they stay booked.
