They still do the free admission for shaky tattoo right? I keep asking them in various social media’s and they won’t answer me. I dunno if they are afraid if everyone(a lot) getting a tattoo would mean low ticket sales. But I just want to know
They did it last year.
I know they did it the last couple years, just making sure they didn’t stop it is all. Does anyone know if you just go to the front gates and show them your tattoo or do you have to go to will call and still get a wristband?

Check out the list of shops participating, or head on over to your favorite artist and join the #ShakyTat club.

I wish we could get Sufjan. Don't know if he's got any plans to tour any next year though. Otherwise that's an ok list. I wouldn't be super excited but it's a plausible list.
I'm just really curious about that third headliner since it's so up in the air. Don't want it to be, but could easily see it being Jack White or Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Less likely but possibly could be the National, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend. It ain't happening but I really wish Bon Iver would headline. Give him the top spot at Shaky. QOTSA-Bon Iver-Fleet Foxes. I know it ain't possible but I'm gonna keep dreaming. I just honestly feel like if your headliners are QOTSA and Fleet Foxes, there's gotta be a bigger headliner because I don't see them being a huge draw. Otherwise it's gonna be a big step down from last year's headliners.

For discussion sake, does anyone think Fleet Foxes would play but NOT as a headlining act? Looking at previous festivals, their billing is pretty variable. For instance, they were billed behind Alt-J and Cage the Elephant at this year's Outside Lands. I wouldn't consider either of those 2 bands as a SN headliner.

Yeah personally I see them in that Shins and CTE slot from last year. They’re playing relatively small venues this tour

It's possible, but I also wouldn't be surprised if SK gave them a headlining spot. Maybe I don't have a good grasp on popularity of certain bands and I'm biased because I'm a huge FF fan, but I feel like FF is more popular than QOTSA and it would be weird to see QOTSA as a headliner with FF under them. Plus FF hasn't been to Atlanta in like 6 years, if that makes any difference. I hope they'll headline. I'll be really disappointed if they don't.

Also a big FF fan but there's not a chance they're bigger than QOTSA. Queens can play arenas in some cities. Fleet Foxes most definitely cannot.

Oh okay. I don't know why I was thinking QOTSA was on about the same level or less popular. I just feel like my friends who aren't indie fans at all are more likely to recognize FF than Queens, but you're right if they're playing arenas. Still hoping there's a chance FF headlines.

Back to the idea of Tool headlining... I figured they'd be an option for Carolina Rebellion (which didn't happen), and they haven't played in Georgia since 2012. It could happen given the other dates in May...

I'd love if it was Tool. They did play Duluth last January though.

Oh, I should note that A Perfect Circle has been playing alongside every festival that Tool is doing this year. But if Shaky Knees could have At The Drive-In last year, then APC would not be out of place either.

TooL is generally an undercard killer, but that would explain the more expensive ticket prices this year. I think one hard rock headliner is enough for Shaky.

I don't think having both Tool and QOTSA would be all that weird, given that the festival did counter-programming opposite the headliners in 2016 and could easily reintroduce that concept.

Yeah, unless they've just decided to drastically change the vibe of the festival for some reason, it would be really uncharacteristic of SK to have two hard rock headliners. It's indie-focused foremost, sprinkled in with some rock and metal.
