Damn I hope Roo is able to snag a lot of these.
Yeah, it's with Julian. They just recently changed the name.

There's at least 3 Australian bands playing this year... Which seems like a lot, maybe just coincidence? I wouldn't mind SK adding a couple of top foreign acts, bands that don't get to the US very much
My only disappointment, which is minor, is the miss on Oh Sees. It absolutely does not dampen my excitement for this though. I just hope they play Atlanta this summer.

There's still that small glimmer of hope that they'll be a late night that doesn't play the actual festival.

Saw Tenacious D about 15 years ago. Had no idea they still toured, so I guess I'm kind of surprised that they're 5th. Is it perhaps bc Jack Black is an A list(or near the A list) movie star? I like them and I'll see them if there's not a conflict for me but I'm conflicted about SK taking a lineup spot and giving it to basically a gimmick band

Hoping for a couple poppier additions just for some variety. This year has less pop/pop-rock/electronic than previous years it seems. I can definitely understand why some people who were fans of previous lineups aren't as big on this one.

uhh this guy....
Tenacious D is a prime example of a band that I have no urge to see at all, but I am happy for the people who are really excited to see them.

With four stages, they're probably doing conflicting headliners. I could see: QotSA v Fleet Foxes Jack White v. David Byrne The National v. Tenacious D
Jack White better get a 2 hour timeslot. When I saw him at Mississippi St. University (super random) in 2015 the arena was only like half full so he only played for about 1.5 hours, as well as playing more country songs than usual. A couple days later at Ohio St. he played like 5 songs more. I was very disappointed with the students of Mississippi St. that day.
