Vampire Weekend would be a super odd/interesting booking in the sense that a.) they wouldn't be premiering new music at Coachella/Gov Ball who are the serious odds on faves to get their first show and b.) they don't seem ready yet based on their last couple updates. I was starting to think they would release the new record next fall, do a small tour, and hit the '19 circuit hard.
From what I have seen in previous posts, Sturgill, Win Butler and other non-EDM acts experienced terrible crowds of Bassheads and molly munchers and were visibly or audibly upset with the “vibe”, crowd talkling or straight up heckling. Paul’s head would explode.
If those are really the headliners, consider me there. How is Paul Simon live? Anybody confirm on him being good?
Pretty good. Obviously you have to like him, but his band is professional and good and he’s Paul Simon. Don’t expect Bob Dylan type performance as Paul hasn’t lost anything but some hair. Not sure he’d fit, but Paul is entertaining.
