I did get an email this morning from them offering a discount code for DFN. Sounds a little strange; do festivals normally do this? If so, fine. If not, should we be worried?

I was wondering the same. They should at least give us an announcement date at this point. When I applied as a volunteer photographer the deadline was 12/8, and they said I would know something by 12/11. Wonder if these dates have anything to do with it.

It's a pretty bad look I think to have a marketing director go on reddit and blow up a board of people talking about it. Granted, they're idiots, but don't act like your messaging has been on point.

No doubt, but in their defense, someone was accusing them of being bankrupt and insinuating that people who bought presale might not be getting their money back. They have to take that kind of thing seriously.

Yeah, but it's a bozo on reddit. It's not like someone on a reputable website is saying that, it's a 17 year old molly muncher on his laptop covered in pretty lights stickers.

The location/time of this festival is so great It'd be such a shame if this fails. It is awesome having a multi-genre camping festival in the East Coast in (essentially) the winter. The first two years sold pretty well from everything I understood, so any falter is completely on them and not lack of demand for it.
i really do think it's just the Brand New thing holding them up.
How hard can it be to get another emo band from the early 2000's to please the molly munchers that dominate this festival? Maybe they could get American Football or Cap'n Jazz.
