Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Definitely the best east coast fest so far. Bummed about no David Byrne (was so sure it was gonna happen), but this is a crazy solid undercard. I would totally trade QotSA for YYYs tho.
I'd trade this lineup for Gov ball...but don't like it that much more to make me pay for the travel expenses for a weekend in Boston when I can stay home in NY

Relative to size, this might be the best festival lineup I've ever seen for my taste.
When this leaked last night I thought it was 99% fake because Fleet Foxes/St. Vincent/THE DECEMBERISTS (my favorite band of all time) and Dirty Projectors squeezed down on line 5 could not be real.
Always room for jam in my book! Just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the lineup but those willing to check it out should be impressed. Most people outside the jam scene can't get past the instrumental aspect.
Really wish this wasn't Memorial Day weekend.
Most jambands are best when they don't sing anyways. Also they'll almost definitely open up one of the stages, which seems like a solid way to enter into the day.
Definitely usually a groovy way to start a day. But which ones sound better when they don't sing? Widespread Panic? Cheese? Allman Brothers Band? Mule? Galactic? Phish? My Morning Jacket? Grateful Dead? Idk, I think all the major jam bands are/were great with vocals. Some of the more jazzier stuff may be better without vocals, but even STS9 and Lettuce and Umphrey's sound pretty good with vocals and rappers. Not being a dick, just wondering or maybe wondering if you were sort of generalizing at the lower end of the card.
FWIW, I agree that pound for pound this lineup is better than either Governor's Ball and Coachella, though both of them have stuff I'd want to see. This has more I want to see with less names even though it's mostly acts I'd already seen. However, I'd be happy all day if Voodoo ended up having Eminem, Jack White, Fleet Foxes, Queens, Portgual, St. Vincent, Royal Blood, Manchester Orchestra, Thundercat, Panda Riot, Noname, Mount Kimbie, Pond, Zola Jesus, Tauk and Natalie Portman. IDK, it might not be earth shattering, but its' a lot of good shows to see plus Mount Kimbie who is blow away.

Looks like the daily lineups were announced March 3 last year
This is the first lineup of the year that is better than the 2017 edition imo
when was the last time you looked at 2017's lineup?
This lineup is better for me personally. Objectively I'd probably give 2017 the slight edge, though most of that has more to do with who's available than who they booked. But also Eminem.

This isnt a popular opinion #onhere but I think any fest getting Eminem is a massive get and for me, I want to go to a festival that has him on there because this could easily be it for him. Also Tool and Mumford dont do a ton for me. Having The National, St. Vincent, and Fleet Foxes in the third row is an amazing get for them too, much better than Cage. The very undercard is really good with Alvvays (they may be playing everywhere, but we will see), Perfume Genius, Julien Baker, Oh Sees, and Lovett or Leave it
I can't believe that BC would use the exact same poster/graphic from last year so I call BS, but that's a really good fake. If this was real I'd actually consider making the trip.
Well I was 100000% percent wrong. Best 2018 lineup (U.S.) that I've seen so far.
I'll just say that I'm really happy with this lineup. Not over the moon thrilled, but very happy. I'd rather see this lineup than Coachella or Gov Ball.
In fact, it's so good that there are going to be some mighty big conflicts to resolve. Without having yet checked out a single act with which I'm unfamiliar, I count over 20 acts that I want to see. I'm sure that I'll be adding more to the list once I check out the acts I don't know on YouTube.
To paraphrase what I just tweeted, I'm as completely happy as I possibly could be with any lineup lacking all of my top dozen or so favorite artists. (The Decemberists would likely land in the 15-20 range for me.)
But it was Boston Calling which grew and solidified my interest in Jason Isbell and Frightened Rabbit, and I suspect the same thing might happen with a couple of performers this year.
Only question left to resolve...Belly the band or Belly the rapper?
The rapper is at Gov Ball so likely that. Band would be awesome though. Tauk is a great band but seems a bit out of place here. Musically one of the best bands you will find but instrumental jam music doesn't seem to fit here. Always a great show though if you're into that or open minded.
It's Belly the band, according to their own Twitter feed and the lineup link on the Boston Calling site. Which makes sense, since they're holding down the "legacy local" spot (as opposed to the "rising young local" spots at the bottom of the poster....and they totally nailed their two "rising young local" bookings with the best two fits they could have gotten for those positions.)
