The problem with Jack White is that he's fine, but he's insanely overrated by nearly everyone who frequents this forum. Also he already made the best music he'll ever make, over a decade ago.
Definitely been a case of diminishing returns since the White Stripes put out Elephant. But he still puts on an excellent show

I think this is where I stand. His Roo set was epic.

IMHO, the White Stripes stuff is wildly overrated, but the new album preview sounds fantastic.
He’s weird for weird sake and makes nearly unlistenable music. I left his Bonnaroo set a couple songs in after giving him a chance. Just awful.
Do you just not like anything he's ever done? Because I wouldn't really call like, Hotel Yorba or Steady As She Goes unlistenable (or Temporary Ground, I guess) even if I were to take an aggressively liberal view of what "unlistenable" means

Question about this... Do you not like his solo stuff, or any of his stuff? Because I feel like his solo stuff is a bunch of dirty nursery rhymes he wrote to play guitar with, but the white stripes stuff was perfection

I like the top of this lineup significantly more than Governor's Ball. Not even close tbh. Costs are the only thing keeping me from selling my GBall ticket for this.
