I've actually never streamed Roo before...do they do the late nights, too? Wanna switch in between that Umphreys and Superjam sets
It works like how Red Bull does all the other ones. I watched it last year. The sets aren't live per se', and sometimes what you watch is from earlier in the day or the day before. HLers last year I think were on an hour or so delay, but they didn't stream Pearl Jam. You can switch between Channels 1, 2 and 3 at will. Also, they repeat the channel when the broadcast ends until the next day's broadcast begins. So if you're not there for the set you want to see, it will come on again sometime late night or morning if you want to record it or whatever. Also, be ready for changes on the fly all weekend long. You'll get some disappointments where you wanted to watch something that they end up not streaming, and then some surprise bonuses where you will see shows not advertised to be streamed that end up are (e.g. Pond at Primavera this weekend).
I might be doing this. Plus, got the new fancy laptop so can chat at the same time if anyone goes online anymore.
Just so you know, there are multiple ways to access. You can stream directly from their website at www.redbull.tv Or you can download the application. They have it for PC, Mobile Phones, Xbox or Playstation. All you have to do is launch and go to the Bonnaroo Stream Channel under Channels. There will be a schedule on the website that updates as things change by channel. I'm thinking they probably won't have 3 active on Thursday (more likely Friday thru Sunday). We use the applications for Xbox and PS4 because they are on different TVs side by side. I can just hit "mute" if I want to jam on the smaller tv or switch off for a while but not miss still having the other set on.

This is where I'm at as well. Never actually done the livestream, so I'm curious to see how it is vs. Coachella. How into I get will depend on the schedule.

It's a slightly different process that what you're used to on Coachella but not appreciably different. Because it's a U.S. Festival, Sal Masakaela (sp?) will be the host for the weekend. Their stream service is pretty reliable with minimal glitching.
Don't forget that Demon Dayz is also this weekend, so besides Bonnaroo, Red Bull TV will also be streaming 1 or 2 days of Demon Dayz. Between the two festivals, it should be pretty easy to find something to watch. Red Bull will do 3 channels simultaneous during Bonnaroo and I'd imagine 1 (possibly 2?) for Demon Dayz.
This is all I can find so far, and it's from Exclaim:
Watch the live stream starting at 6 p.m. EDT on June 8. So apparently it goes live Thursday evening. I have to go see that my dad gets dinner before going to the Muse concert, so I'm probably not going to watch much of it on Thursday. I'll pick it up Friday afternoon when I get off of work.

Looks like Demon Dayz is getting streamed two days with 2 channels. Great weekend for couch-festing!
Oh damn. Thanks. They were saying 6/10, but if they're doing both days, it's going to be insane trying to keep up with what I want to watch. That's literally 5 channels this weekend of streaming to monitor. All my kids will be at Bonnaroo, so it's just me and the televisions. Hopefully at least the Bonnaroo schedule is out by tomorrow.
They're really only planning on streaming RHCP out of all the headliners? Looks like no xx or Superjam either. I don't want to keep being negative, but, man, even the streaming schedule is bumming me out.
I also can't decide if watching Roo from home would make me sad about missing out. Granted, like most folks here, I'm not exactly thrilled about the lineup, which is helping my FOMO considerably. It's just hard not to feel that itch in June after five straight years.
It's very easy to stream the RHCP. They come out, play their 16 songs, don't interact with the crowd and don't do an encore. Super easy to stream 4 people phoning it in.

Maybe those acts negotiated not being streamed on their contracts with roo. I know that's what happened with McCartney at firefly 2015.

Unless you found the stream times, most of them don't coincide with the actual festival sets. At best there is a 30/60 minute delay time. I watched so many of them last year, I can't remember all that were time delayed. But I thought all the North American ones were. FWIW, Demon Days begins streaming like noon or 1pm Central on Saturday also on 2 channels on Red Bull. No doubt there are bound to be some great sets at that too.

I'm pretty sure our 9-month-old has been babbling about Twiddle and plans to catch that late night set, too. See you on the virtual farm! Just as sleep deprived as the real thing.
It's not surprising there's only one headliner of the three being streamed. Usually one headliner isn't aired at all, a second may be a last minute addition to the schedule. Would love to see U2, but not surprised that's not on there.
I think McCartney on the stream was only an hour vs. the full set.
