I really hate this bro-metal mentality that's developed around some of the EDM, the headbanging and mosh pits, etc.
The bro side sucks and getter is bs generic, but the hardcore punk and metal head inside of me is cool with it. Depends on the specific DJ and crowd though. Also rap has taken to favor moshing and shit too.
Turkuaz is shredding. Too bad they are gonna cut them off early.

Probably the first set on the stream that I regret missing in person. Looks like a fun live show. (I have a soft spot for Tove Lo too, but was in the crowd her first time at Roo.)

I don't know. They play around. Like I said in Hangout thread yesterday we just saw them a few weeks ago open for and play with moe. Some of that is on jambase's moe writeup linked in the Jazz Fest stream last post. Fwiw, the guitarist is seriously good.

Got that Lotus feel. They played the parish late last year and I didn't go. Hopefully they roll around here by the end of the year. Such a fun band.
Yeah. Obviously less tripped than Lotus, but some of their newer stuff meshes. Fuck, you know me. I love that whole NYC/Bear Creek jam-Jazz-funk scene with them, Lettuce, Tauk and particularly Kung Fu.

Caught them last year at Catskill (rip) and fell in love. They also did a set with Dopapod called dopaquaz and that was one of my favorite shows of 2016.
Not going to lie, coucharoo is making me miss roo right now. It couldn't have haputhis year for me, but I've caught some pretty great shows on these streams. PHJB is killing it!

Yeah. Ken Bone was saying it sounds lame (about the superjam) a while back. I realize that not all the guests are the biggest name acts, but seriously, who is the the most talented band in the world backing other people? I posted that last night in the superjam thread, but for anyone who either hadn't seen them yet or didn't know how good these guys are, the set you're watching should leave no doubt whatsoever. Now what ends up being curated, who knows? But they could make Taylor Swift or Katy Perry interesting. Maybe even supreme garbage like Frank Ocean
