the usual Heart and Joan Jett tour is at Merriweather not Jiffy this year too. Live Nation at this point has booked almost as many dates at Merriweather as they are at Jiffy Lube Live.

Kerfuffle lineup is going to be announced on Tuesday at 7:30 AM. Any idea who could play this?
EDIT: The Lumineers aren’t headlining this. It definitely sounds like the headliner could be either Arctic Monkeys or The Killers though. I’m leaning towards the latter.

Fall Out Boy was a terrible choice and I don’t think it sold that well. I’m trying to think of bands that could headline this and I feel like the two mentioned above are the best options right now. Looking at festival lineups and I don’t really see anyone that could headline a big event like this. We know that Panic! is out because of Firefly so we don’t have to worry about them. Maybe The Strokes? But it sounds like they will only be doing big festivals.
Some undercard acts I would love to see are Catfish & The Bottlemen, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

7:30am as opposed to the usual 5pm makes me think Kerfuffle is one stop on the headliner announcing a run of shows. I'll guess The Raconteurs.

The Raconteurs would be a cool booking. I just don’t know if they’ll go that route, given how the sales went for last year’s event. Now, maybe if they booked a killer undercard, then it could be successful. I don’t know if they want to risk possibly doing another poor year though. I think someone like AM or Killers seem like the safe bet.

Have they announced a date yet? Mumford and Sons would make sense, but they're in Europe through June. Gang of Youths would be a great for the undercard.

Not yet. We will know more on Tuesday. If they are announcing it now, my guess is that it will be sometime in May or June. They announced their 2017 event around this time and the date was May 14. The only date Mumford would be able to do in those two months would be May 25th, which is a Saturday. However, all of the previous Kerfuffles have been on Sundays and I expect that to be the same this year. I was looking at Twenty One Pilots, but their schedule is slammed with shows. Unless there is evidence proving otherwise, I am going with The Killers. They are radio show-friendly band and they would sell a lot of tickets. My 2nd choice would be Arctic Monkeys.

PSA: tickets for Interpol at The Anthem tonight are going for less than $25 (including fees) on Stubhub.
I don't even know if I will end up going, but I bought a ticket for $17 INCLUDING FEES. That's probably the lowest (total cost) I have paid for any ticket in a while. I will risk $17 on the chance I may not get down to DC.

Welp. Just when I thought DC101 would be announcing the Kerfuffle lineup before Radio 104.5’s lineup, Radio 104.5 announces that they will be revealing their lineup on Monday at 7:10 AM.

LOL that can't be a coincidence.
I really wonder who will headline their shows, especially if they do two shows again like last year. 30STM, Imagine Dragons, Killers, and KoL are all out since they all have played within the last two years. I doubt they could get Panic! with their show at Firefly and how poor their sales seem to be.

Agreed on both counts. I also love non-sold out shows at The Anthem, since you can get so much personal space in the back to rock out.
Guessing we were right near you cause I was at the far back of the lower floor too
Nice. I was the one consistently jumping up and down, alongside a couple other people who got really into it. I especially loved being in the back for this show since it gave such a good overview of the lightshow!
