So apparently Terror Jr. is a band speculated to be fronted by Kylie Jenner. Just awful.
Terror Jr is an American pop duo formed in 2016 founded by former The Cataracs band member David "Campa" Benjamin Singer-Vine, Lisa Vitale, and Felix Snow, who left the group in late 2017.[3] Their first single "3 Strikes" was released through a Kylie Jenner lipgloss commercial.[4][5] Their single "Come First" peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Spotify Velocity chart, number 54 in the Czech Republic, and number 59 in Slovakia.[6]
Firefly is going to outsell Bonnaroo this year. I will be doing Roo to Firefly for the 5th year in a row, best 1-2 punch of the diverse festivals!
This is the best set of headliners overall. Coachella always has the best overall lineup for my tastes, but I would not be excited for a single headliner there this year and you gotta have one. At least you have Kendrick and Arctic Monkeys to be excited for here (Kendrick was so outstanding at the first Okeechobee, live band adds so much!). And Muse was good last year, so will be at Roo again. Killers are still fun and pretty good, even if they are a lazy choice. Eminem is so mediocre, but he is everywhere so is a non-part of the decision (and maybe his Roo set was just so bad because he hadn't played live in 5 years). So thankful to not have to deal with Jack White personally, like Kanye I can't deal with egos on stage regardless of how good the music alone may or may not be.
Okeechobee, Firefly, and Roo have my top 3 lineups this year...fortunate to be hitting all 3. I actually like Hangouts, but am trying EDC Vegas for the first time now that they changed dates. Bottlerock is also good this year, but doesn't have the diversity for someone with eclectic tastes to make an easy comparison.
All those hating on these lineups, what is better??? Maybe Europe has a better one, but why spend that much when you can hit 3 festivals in the States for the same price as 1 there. Every music festival is fun every year. Comparing lineups past years to current year is fun, but ultimately we can just compare 2018 lineups to other 2018 lineups being realistic. If you can only do one festival, then obviously go for what fits your tastes best. But Firefly has always been an outstanding time for the experience (I truly consider it a world class festival overall, and have an informed enough opinion to make that claim). And there are a ton of great selections on this poster. Just like Roo, you will find all kinds of deliciousness as you research the lineup.

In comparison the lineup isn't THAT bad, it's just my personal preferences mostly and there is nothing I haven't seen that I like.
BTW, if you combine the Kendrick money with the Killers money what kind of headliner could that pay for? Is that still too little for The Who or Elton John? That would have done it for me.

Most European festivals are cheaper than comparable U.S. ones. The real cost is the travel, but you're also traveling to Europe so I feel like that should be easier to justify than traveling to Delaware.
EDIT: Plus if you want to do multiple fests, Europe is probably cheaper to travel within than the US is. And again...you'll be traveling through Europe.
I'm not thrilled with the Killers again, but I know I'll go to their set and have a good time. The rest is at least serviceable and offers some new stuff to listen to and discover.

same. if they threw in another few indie rock, or even a nostalgic 90's rock, i'd be way more happy.

Happy no Imagine Dragons, genuinely surprised. I like The Killers more than most on here, but 3 times in 7 years is excessive. Too many other multiple repeats like others have said.
MGMT probably had my least favorite show at Firefly, but willing to give them another chance since I've liked the new songs they've been putting out.
Undercard is definitely lacking, the few acts like I know seem very very high. No Sylvan Esso, no Alvvays, no Japanese Breakfast, no The Wombats, no Pixies.
Just way too many repeats. Still better than last year though.
This is a hard sell for me at this point. Shaky Knees has a good lineup in my opinion and an added bonus is they didn't book Eminem. Been to the last four Firefly's and even though this is leagues better than last year I just don't see enough to interest me.
I am a four year veteran myself and I'm sad that this will be my first skip. I think this year will see a lot of older folk go elsewhere, but probably just see more of the college kids buy in to balance it out. I cam close last year to skipping, but Muse ultimately was enough to get me there.

It’s funny that the Killers have played this fest 3 times in 7 years. For a headliner they’ve played remarkably few US shows over the last ten years or so, which I think has helped them remain a legit headliner and not turn into Weezer or whatever.

Yeah they tend to just do a year or so of touring on each album then headline Firefly and Hangout in the off years
Firefly 2019: RHCP - Kings of Leon - Childish Gambino - Marshmello
I mean idk about that. Eminem- Kendrick- Arctic Monkeys would be the best set of headliners of the year no question. Kendrick wasnt that high up and has released two amazing albums since, and its the first AM show in the US in 5 years. Throwing in The Killers at 4, just for shits, is pretty damn good too especially because their album is very good and their show right now is great (just saw them last night).

I thought firefly would get one of coachella's 2017 headliners. Still kinda bummed it wasn't Radiohead, but Kendrick Lamar is definitely better than Lady Gaga, or Bey even. Overall, possibly the best set of headliners announced this far. However, the undercard is only marginally better than Hangout's.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
So odd to me that the Arctic Monkeys will play this and not Bonnaroo.
I think it's pretty telling that Goldenvoice forked over the money for them for FF but Livenation wouldn't for Bonnaroo. And it's not like Roo doesn't need the ticket sales help or that LN won't book them for a bunch of other fests this year.

Eminem and Kendrick Lamar on the top line tells me everything I need to know. This is not a rock oriented festival anymore. I really didn't think they would book both, which is why I was optimistic there may be some solid choices for the other headliners (granted AM is a good booking). There isn't anything wrong with the top line Firefly has, it just isn't what it should be. Never mind the undercard dropping off after like 5 lines. Look at lines 6-10 or whatever on the 2016 lineup and then look at this one. Seriously.
