I haven't seen any estimates, but judging by the photos and videos I've seen it looks like this sold the best out of it's 3 years.
They also got rid of a third of the grounds and cut a stage, so that’s why you see pics there a ton of people. Last year the co-main stage was out of shot on the grounds that were cut for this year. In all pictures you’re looking at the crowds from the two stages combined in one shot.

Can’t we just admit you have pretty shit taste in music and the festivals booking it and move on?
I’ve enjoyed his slow transition as of late though. Never would have thought the dude would be on the fence for Odesza/Leon Vynehall. It’s almost as if he’s slowly coming around to some of the stuff he talks so much shit on. Little old Vynehall with his tiny crowds and laughable revenue.
edit: Osheaga IS one of those festivals that are still putting out perfectly balanced lineups though. Their undercard is properly weighed out with mainstream and lesser known acts. For a festival of their size they do a fine job with genre diversity as well. That’s probably why it sold out. Bonnaroo should take note.

I don't want to turn this into a trash Launchpad one, but I don't understand someone going into the thread of a festival they clearly don't like, filled with board members he generally doesn't get along with. The points lineup was pretty great and it sounds like people enjoyed it regardless of a technical difficulty that can happen at any festival.
I mean this thread is a perfect example of how he tries to sabotage positive discourse in what can only come down to personal vendettas. Like we jump from, “I’m just here because I love music/festivals and had fun here” to “lols @ Moodyman this festival fucking sucked”. It’s just so unnecessary and never ending.

I live near this festival. I have attended all three years. I like a lot of the acts who played. I flat out said I had a pretty great time on Sunday; but the festival was def plagued by one fuck up after another. The promoters are also a bunch of shitty opportunist vultures who arent satisfied just putting on their own events, they have to try and fuck everyone else over. And the board members coming into this thread who I don't get along with, did not attend the festival this year, some of them have never attended it at all. I would say I don't understand why they are coming into this thread; but we all know its 100% so they can troll and give me shit. Pretty pathetic.
But thanks for letting us know you dont want this to turn into a trash Launchpad thread right after you trashed me twice. Doing a bang up job.

Maybe if you fucked off? Why are you in this thread? You did not attend the festival this year, and have not in the last two years. Almost every post you have made in here the last few days has either been to act as a contrarian to what I am saying about the festival I just attended, or to flat out insult me. Which leads me to believe you are only in this thread because of me. So yeah, you fucking off would do the trick I think.

Two companies pretty much run all of live events. I could choose to skip out on seeing half of all concerts and festivals and miss seeing acts I enjoy. But I am just doing my best to not give them my money directly and get tickets for as little as possible.
