Newport's twitter account liked a tweet hoping that there would be unannounced headliners.
That feels like a confirmation to me. Let the speculation run wild!
The only thing that will live up to the expectations that are being set is a collaboration of Bruce Springstein, Eddie Vedder, Paul Simon and Neil Young with Arcade Fire as the backing band.

Looks great. I expect Buddy Guy in a Change is Gonna Come, but listing him now would be as though he has his own act. I also think if you are going into fest week without naming some performers you are asking for unreasonable expectations. Someone of the ilk of Bruce (with his weekend off), makes sense as a guest. Not naming a lesser act makes little sense. And don't under-estimate who Joh Batiste can pull in.
This should be a good show regardless, but we all know deep in our hearts that someone special will be who we talk about post concert (and Low Cut Connie:)

You guys ever listen to nugs radio? I had to work overnight last week and blasted it at my desk all week. I swear I heard a soundboard copy of Roger Waters but couldn’t find it saved in their archive.
Monsters make sense as Saturday headliner. Jenny guesting with M Ward and Conor? Yes please.
Also, it is interesting that 2 of the 3 (4? But I’m not aware of any unrelated Mike projects) have new albums but aren’t already on the lineup. Not sure if that helps or hurts the case.

There is also the Phoebe Bridgers and Conor connection.
Friday still has “More Acts to Be Announced”. Could be an error though and will be corrected shortly.
Courtney’s description seems to be describing another band: The Ben Miller Band. Was this a carry over from a booking from last year or could it hint at a Museum Stage act yet to be announced?
