Father John Misty is at Panorama. Really hoping he pulls double duty w/ Newport. I know they've said before he has an open invitation to return whenever
He would be a fun Friday headliner. His recent tour production absolutely deserves it.
Plus the progression of him horrifying people on the quad stage in 2013 and throwing equipment around to headlining one of the oldest and most respected music events in America would be fantastic.
I still see him subbing, but Flight of the Conchords headlined so who knows.
FJM > Arcade Fire on the Fort would be an excellent end to a day
If anything I'm excited to experience a Bon Iver performance where people shut. the. fuck. up.
I've seen them 4 times, and three of those times it's been a serious, serious issue. Like a performance-ruining issue.
Those three times were in cities though, so maybe that has something to do with it.
The one time I was at Newport the crowd was not an issue at all. Hope that is still the same. It certainly helps that the standing section at the front caters more to people who want to experience the music as best as possible, versus the rest of the main stage where everyone just tends to chill in their lie-down chairs (or whatever you call those).
Nah the only bad crowd I've experienced there was some drunk old guys during Roger Waters but that set was so fucking incredible they couldn't ruin it

This was an endorsement for the Newport crowd, not a diss.
Newport crowds are the most respectful. Second to Roo in passion though.
I like the idea. Though they wished Jermaine Clement a happy birthday on Jan 10 with this message: "Congrats on another lap around the sun, @ajemaineclement. Here's to many more. #folkfamily @fotc 📷 @idonttwit " so. maybe not a clue. Still I would be happy with a Dispatch announcement today.
Fantastic Negrito. Yes! Been hoping they'd add him for a while. I really need to play bingo.
This is such a powerful video. Living in Cleveland and dealing with the shame and sadness of the Tamir Rice shooting (another 12 year old) it really hit home.
The second song from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats new album is also great. That's it, I'm pre ordering. Take my money. Some day I want to drive across America. This will he on the playlist.
