Our friend who got tickets told me that she got an email that says more tickets go on sale at noon? Not sure what to make of that whether it's another show or they're just going to choose Saturday then.

Ah, how very kind of them to share this insider information with the people who already got tickets. Wonderful.
The FAQ for the Deer Tick tickets does say this, though. So wonder what the final verdict is.
Seated doesn't currently place any restrictions on the transfer or resale of tickets. We understand that plans can change and sometimes you will no longer be able to attend an event. We'll always help you get rid of your tickets when we can.
If your tickets are left for Will Call pickup...
If your tickets have been left at will call, then you can contact support@seated.com to have the name on the will call list changed. We request that you do this at least 48 hours before the event - otherwise we can not ensure that the box office will receive the update in time.
Also, considering The blues cafe has said that you can't transfer/change tickets every year but they tend to let you (as long as the buyer shows up with the people who are taking the tickets) I'd guess it should still be possible.
Newport has been very careful to direct all questions about the Deer Tick aftershows to the band itself. Very likely that there are different conditions for these shows than there are for any of the other aftershows actually being put on by Newport.
Even if that's the case it hasn't been hard in the past to transfer Tix as long as the buyer shows up and points out who is getting them. Just sucks for folks who can't make it down there who got tickets.

Agreed. I appreciate that, even if I don't get tickets.
If I miss out then I'm going to be hoping really hard for Glorietta and FJM tickets.
It does feel like something you've trained for for years and then they just change the rules the last second lol. Getting so good/used to being on at the right time, refreshing, checking, etc.
