Confused...Another Friday booking? His website seems to stop in March.
Sarah used to teach up at the Beacon Music Factory where I've dallied some. And well, OK, Arlo wrote me he would love to be invited again...but thinks they (NFF) are going in a different direction....he's only free Sunday, So is she. And he's a story teller.
Could there be a "movement" type of act or closing bill with all sorts of unannounced names?

I had been hoping that Florence might headline the impressive lineup of women already set to perform Saturday afternoon, but now I'm convinced that we're waiting on Boston Calling and some funky radius clause. I suspect that means The National may close out Saturday, which would be fantastic IMO!
I'm thinking we may hear as soon as tomorrow, the day The National plays in Boston.
Saturday at NFF comes ten days after the 50th anniversary of Anthem of the Sun. Coincidence? Well, yes.
So I emailed Seated to try and get some information on swapping tickets, and this was their response:
"Thanks for reaching out. Please explain this situation a bit more specifically. It will be up to the venue or Deer Tick team as to whether or not they will allow this trade. Before I explain the situation to them, please let me know which orders, tickets and nights you are wanting to swap. I'll do my best to help you all out!"

lol, I'd imagine they'd have to be pretty accommodating considering that you essentially had no control over whether you bought too many tickets (if all were chosen from the raffle)
Ahhhh thank you so much for this. I looked shortly after they sold out but they weren't there yet. I'm at 53-54 for Shakey Graves. Don't love my chances because that means 1/6 of the people going need to change their plans but it's nice to have hope.
anyone else officially moving into the "so close i can taste it" / "any tidbit of information is satiating" / "come on tell me more and lets dance" segment of the summer. maybe it's because it coincides with work slowing down but this week i feel like i've been scouring the web to find any info or news, or just more to read to prep for the fort.
edited with my top five anticipated artists based on pre-fest discovery alone (for conversation sake): 1) low cut connie 2) darlingisde 3) phoebe bridgers 4) caamp 5) hamilton and rostam

Just saw Low Cut Connie a few weeks ago and they killed it. Loving the new album too. Depending on the Saturday schedule, I may have to check them out again because I know they are gonna bring it.
Album is being released with Acoustic and Full versions of each song.

Wonder if I can/should start a crowdfunding campaign to pay for a backing band for him at Newport. Always seem to enjoy the full versions of his tunes more.
Not everyday you get a chance to see a band that named a genre. If Bob Marley said they were one of the best then thats good enough for me.
"Do the Reggay" is a reggae song by The Maytals. It was written by Toots Hibbertt and was released in 1968. "Do the Reggay" was the first popular song to use the word "reggae" and defined the developing genre by giving it its name. At that time, "reggay" had been the name of a passing dance fashion in Jamaica, but the song's connection of the word with the music itself led to its use for the style of music that developed from it.
