I'm happy for Buffalo fans for the Bills finally making it. I know it's been a long time since they made the playoffs. I can't imagine going 18 years with nothing.
Having a playoff caliber season is pure nirvana for Jags/Bills/Rams fans. I'd obvious rather be the Pats or Steelers, but one tiny silver lining is that success tastes so much more sweet when you've been deprived of it. I can't imagine at this point that a Pats fan can truly appreciate a win the same way a Bills fan can. So cool watching all of the videos in Buffalo this morning.
You're welcome, cdevaney. It costed us 5/6 draft spots, and it's probably going to bring back Marv for another year. At least we spoiled it for the Ravens and Tyrod gets a playoff start.
Personally, I am happy to be the 4 seed. We match up better against Carolina, and I am not afraid of the Eagles right now, so my ideal situation would be to beat the Panthers and then go to Philly. I would love to see the Rams murder the Falcons.

With the 4, the only way we can now host the NFC Championship game is if Atlanta (the #6) wins wild card weekend and then the divisional round. Had we gotten the 3, we would have been able to host either the Panthers if they won out (were #5) or the Rams (would have been #4 if we were 3) giving us a better chance of getting to the Super Bowl.

i have a feeling we'll see you guys again in a couple weeks here. as a vikes fan we're just waiting for the worst possible way to lose a game to happen. should be entertaining for the rest of ya

I'm hopeful we get to play y'all in 2 weeks. If we beat Carolina this weekend, (and Atlanta wins) it's on to Minneapolis else we gotta beat the Eagles first. We definitely want a shot at redemption, and ideally, if we had a chance to play and beat the Rams and Patriots as well, we'd be able to avenge our losses for the year (we also lost to Atlanta and Tampa Bay but as divisional opponents, we were able to split with both of them this year).

You guys have been pissed at us since we ended Favre's career and sent Childress to an insane asylum. That NFC championship game was still one of the best games I ever watched.
But of relevance to us is that you guys defeated us in Week #1 before we had our shit together. No excuses. We want that rematch although I will not be getting cocky about it unless we end up winning.

Same lol. was one hell of a game and that's where i have the major scar tissue. when you actually have the thought in your head "we might be going to the super bowl" and then it all falls to shit, man that was rough
but yea i get this years revenge. you guys haven't even seen Keenum in person yet!
I'm not going to try to be over confident about any game this playoffs. The Saints could easily lose to any of these five teams because they're all tough. But if I'm trying to be honest, I am only really afraid of the Vikings and the Rams. The Eagles without Wentz have been above average at best. We've already beaten both Carolina and Atlanta at home. The Rams have a scary team and the Vikings defense is killer.

My current playoff predictions:
AFC KC beats Tenn Jacksonville beats Buffalo
Pitt beats Jacksonville NE beats KC
NE beats Pitt
NFC Rams beat ATL Saints beat Carolina
Saints beat Philly Vikings beat Rams
Vikings beat Saints
Super Bowl Vikings win at home
haha you definitely played it safe here. 1 upset prediction and idk if you can call it that with Wentz out.
Part of me is a little worried about KC possibly coming back to Foxboro, they usually have the Pats number. And then I remember Andy Reid led teams tend to blow it fairly early in the playoffs.
I'd imagine the Pats would be the favorite, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were one and done against the Chiefs.

Seen a report earlier. In a nutshell, Belichick wanted to start playing Jimmy G more often. Brady was upset by this, went to Bob Kraft demanding he play more. Then it came down from Kraft to trade Jimmy G. Not sure how valid that is though, but if it's true it makes some sense considering the reports on the trade.
It's already been mentioned before the Browns offered a huge sum for Jimmy G, but Belichick denied it cause he didn't want to ruin Jimmy G's career like that - then took a smaller return to deal him to a better organization in SF. It may not surprise me if Belichick leaves after this year, or after next year. If he knew that Jimmy G was the future and could do better than Brady, then got overruled and was forced to dump him off, then how long is he gonna stay?
This may be the end of the run this season. I still think that the Patriots are good enough to be a playoff caliber team in the near future, but I think the expectation of reaching/winning the Super Bowl or bust won't be the case for much longer.

As long as Brady is there, they will be competing for the Super Bowl. After that they are average. Belichick is a great coach but Brady has been overcoming a lot of deficiencies over the years. Not sure if he is built to try building his team a different way (eg, paying top dollar for players).
