He plays the most important position in team sports. If his team is 3-16 over the past two seasons when he plays, he probably isn't all that good anymore. He probably deserves a roster spot, as a backup, based on play alone, but he's not entitled to one. I think he's a hero for what he does to raise awareness of the issue, but if he was good enough, some team would pick him up. They'd probably be able to spin it into good publicity for the team if they felt like it. As is, no team feels that way. It's just a big headache to them.
Cutler going to the Dolphins makes some sense, considering his history with Gase and the Dolphins really only needing a one year deal to cover Tannehill's absence.
The bullshit part would be the owner of the Ravens going "pray for us" when considering replacing Flacco.

It's worth pointing out for this situation that Gase was Cutler's OC the season before he went to Miami. If you're gonna get a dude off the street after preseason has begun, it's probably better to go with a dude who knows your system pretty well.
The other issue is that Kaepernick had made some pro-Castro remarks last season. I think that maybe there was a tee-shirt involved. That's probably a much bigger PR issue in Miami than the anthem thing which maybe makes them the only team with a legit excuse not to go there.

My thoughts as well. I believe a couple years back the manager of the Marlins made some pro-Castro statements and ended up getting suspended due to the backlash from the city. Would've made the whole Kaepernick thing even more of a hoopla.
Panthers are with the Falcons as easily my most hated teams. So while I'm going to decline the bowl of dicks, I really can't wait to see him getting leveled every possible opportunity.
