Cant even believe we allowed 3 points. Need to get more aggressive on offense next week though.
Here's to hoping Antonio Brown isn't too hobbled by his injury.
really need Jalen to be locked in. He has a lot to prove after the last time around with the steelers. Even though he had a pick and forced a pick 6, AB ate him up and he now says hes the best wr hes ever played against by far.

I think any current DB would say the same unless they were naming Odell or Julio.

yeah AB is better than those two imo.
And those other dbs opinions dont matter anyways, what the best corner says goes
bress bouncing up in the pocket like that with his head cocked back is one of my favorite things to watch in sports. You just know something pretty is about to happen
Neither of those offenses deserved to advance but the Bills' was even more conservative than the Jags. Credit to both D's but the Bills let Bortles run for like ten first downs so the Jags deserved the win.
Still, it was a much better season than expected (remember all of the tanking, 4-12 talk?) And there's reason to be optimistic. Playoff drought lifted.
I hate the fucking Panthers beyond human hatred ordinary capacity. But props out for nutting up and having a chance at the end you shouldn’t have had. That’s divisional play.

2018:
New OC + New QB = back to playoffs
I dont feel like the Bills left it all on the field. We were clearly conservative because we knew we had the better roster top to bottom. Just dont turn it over and we win. I feel like the Bills should have taken a couple more shots with the season on the line.

The Bills had the same philosophy. They felt that they had the better roster and just didn't want to turn it over, winning the time of possession and field position game. Really, both teams are evenly matched.
The difference between the Jags and the Bills is that the Bills had no respect for Bortles as a runner and the Jags respected Taylor. It was that simple.
I'm still happy with the season. The only regret that I have is that this game was there for the Bills and if they had run it from the one in the first half I suspect that the Bills would have won 10-3. But they didn't. Props to the Jags for the win.

Cam Jordan = real Superman.
Was that you shooting all those fireworks outside before, during, and especially after the game?

ahh, sorry but youre wrong here. The Jags roster far outmatches the Bills. Our defense played at a nearly historic level this year. Hyde is probably the only player on the entire Bills defense that is better than his Jaguars counterpart... and Im not being dramatic. I could reel off a series of stats to show how much better of a team we should have been today but Im gonna get some sleep.

We'll have to agree to disagree here. Reel off all the stats you like, I won't be convinced. Again, I didn't say that they were a bad defense at all. I just don't think that they're significantly more talented than the Bills and I think that both offenses are equally flawed.

No but life in the city tonight is beyond insane. I’ll hit up about it some other time but GD.

I'm not downtown or anything. I just watched from home so I'm not aware of how wild things have gotten. But I work next to the Dome so I guess I'll see tomorrow if there is any carnage

Downtown was fine. I was at wook central Tipper night #4. Everyone was sitting in the Orpheum, and most had brought pillows and mats and things and pajamas. Kind of out there. Grandma's mothballs were everywhere. I actually have never quite seen anything like this before. It made Shpongle seem like kindergarten.
What's up Justin. You guys are good. I don't plan on talking shit, because I'm not really sure how we go up there and beat you next Sunday. Guess is that the running backs will be more or less pissed off by the lack of production against the Panthers. But with Peat having broken his Fibula and in there at LT due to the injury(ies) to Armstead, the line will be pieces parts. We've managed okay most of the year, because our guards and tackles all can play at different positions. But it's tougher when the competition level goes up and where there is a strong pass rushing game. I don't think the Saints team you saw in Week 1 will be the team you face in the playoffs. That game and the Patriots game in week #2 were anomalies for us. I also don't think you'll see the Saints team that blew out a bunch of teams in weeks 3-11. It will be somewhere in the middle. Guess is that Dennis Allen will scheme to make Keenum beat us. We're down 4 starters on defense, but we can still get to the QB when we go after it like what eventually happened to Superdick yesterday as he got creamed and bounties were collected.

yea this is just friendly stuff i'm not gonna talk down on the saints. they're def good and i think the consensus around here (MN) is that they're the toughest matchup for this round (and possibly the playoffs in the nfc). think it will be a good game for sure but our defense will be all over ya!

We are going to see something very different, as well as a lot more of the same out of the 2018 Carolina Panthers. I can see it in my crystal ball, and I'm already frustrated by it. 4 field goals? 4? Deserved the L, the better team won for the third time this season.

Yeah, but credit to you all for fighting back into that game and having a shot to win in the end. An 11-5 season (11-6 with the playoff loss) is still a good season for the historical records. You guys were a quality opponent.

any falcons fans here?
I've tried to compile reasons why the Eagles will win, but the only thing I got is that Georgia sports teams are cursed. I've been an Eagles fan long enough to know that if you want to break a curse, you play the Eagles.
There are a few, though I'm not one of them. I'll chokingly be pulling for them this week over the Eagles in order that the Saints, if they can somehow beat Minnesota, would host the NFC Championship game. Having said that, the Falcons are solid competition. Ryan is a great QB, and there is a great stable of skill players over there. They built their team to compete with the Saints offensively and have done a decent job under Quinn. However, we should have swept them this year and probably would have had Kamara not been knocked out of the first game.
Some of the biggest keys to beating them include knocking their receivers off their routes because they do employ timing routes (Ryan can throw pretty much anything) and also paying special attention to Devanta Freeman. He can break any play wide open and can be valuable on the edge or between the tackles, so he has to be contained. Ultimately they finished a game out of first at 10-6. Their six losses were as follows:
17-23 Bills (Week 4)
17-20 Dolphins (Week 6)
07-23 Patriots (Week 7)
17-20 Panthers (Week 9)
09-14 Vikings (Week 13)
13-23 Saints (Week 16)
All of those games except the Saints and Patriots were close with them losing by 6, 3, 3 and 5 in the other 4.
