They went too conservative too soon. Ramming Fournette into the line of scrimmage repeatedly in the second half wasn't going to do it. On the other side of the ball the DL seemed to get gassed and couldn't get enough consistent pressure on TB. But I think the Jags have a bright future.
Their schedule next season will not be as favorable. Indy will have Luck. Houston will have Watson. They get the NFC East and AFC East. They also have a road game at KC.
To Update:
Their strength of schedule was .439 going into 2017. It's .477 for 2018. This should be a difference between the second easiest SOS (tied with TN, slightly harder than Indy) and one in the middle of the pack (I'm not calculating everyone's but it would've been 20th in 2017). They also cede a "home" game vs Philly to London (it was Baltimore last season).
The Jags offense couldn’t do anything in the second half. If the Eagles win next I might just skip watching the Super Bowl altogether.

Idk that last drive they should have ran the ball. At least once, get the clock moving. Bortles looked really good though. They have a really good shot to win the division again, they have by far the most complete team.

Bortles looked good. I can't see how they move on from him. (And LOL at the person on twitter suggesting that they replace him with Tyrod Taylor.)
Eagles going for their first // Pats going for their sixth which would pass the Cowboys record of 5 (yes obviously we're tied but we can still claim it, for now.)
Currently at the point where i'm saying i won't watch... of course i will..

Steelers have the record with 6. I guess I’m actually going to be rooting for hated rivals, the Iggles.

Ah shit, yeah, the Steelers do have 6.
I actually rooted for the Eagles in SB39.. I might do the same for this one, unfortunately. Although, i learned from the last Super Bowl to never root against the Pats.

After the fart against Buffalo they took it to the Steelers in Pittsburgh and gave the Pats fits in Foxboro. You don't do that in the playoffs unless you're ready to take it to the next level. Yeah, their schedule will be tougher but I think they have depth, good lines and they're maturing. If they can continue to keep Bortles from losing games they'll be tough to reckon with.

They have 7 games against 2017 playoff teams (Tennessee X2, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Buffalo, New England and Philly). Their other two division foes (Houston and Indy) as well as Miami all have their starting QB's returning. I'm not saying that they can't return to the playoffs - I'm just saying it will be considerably harder.

What I hated about the Jags game: taking a knee with 55 on the clock in the 2nd quarter. Running on first down nearly every time in the second half. The refs blowing the whistle early before Myles Jack could take that fumble back the house.
Good point. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots need to prove they're capable of beating good teams in big moments before they can be taken seriously as a Super Bowl contender

Sorry buddy. You're the only Jags fan I "know" and as I was driving home from a funeral yesterday listening to Pats-Jags on the radio, I was telling my wife that this guy Kenny Powers on an internet message board would be so crushed by this loss and I felt bad for him.
