Just book them all for Eaux Claires please, Justin...
Damn, I just realized St. Vincent is in Slovakia that weekend.
I think I’ve given up checking artists’ schedules to even see if they will be available.
You have to wonder how well ticket sales are going without a proper lineup release because nearly all the comments I see elsewhere online / social media are people complaining about no lineup announcement. It definitely feels like we have a good understanding of th the bulk of the lineup but it seems we are still missing out on some of the bigger names that are usually on the lineup. Arcade Fire felt like one of those names but it seems that Summerfest has laid claim and thrown cold water on that potential.
We finally pulled the trigger. Looking forward to my first Eaux Claires, with the same group I went to Panorama with last year.
You camping or hoteling?
We're staying in a cheap hotel somewhere that's walking distance from the fest; my aunt didn't want to do camping because she's getting older and just not the camping type (which is unfortunate) but we've been doing fests together since '08 so this is our one together.

Not that we needed much more confirmation for Kevin Morby, but it looks like he'll be playing in Wisconsin Thursday (7/5) night: www.shittybarnsessions.com
On another note, Ho99o9 looks less likely, unless they're going to play the Czech Republic on July 4th come play Eaux Claires 7/6-7 and then fly back over for a show in Belgium by the 11th. Obviously possible, but it seems like unlikely tour routing. www.ho99o9.com/tour

I'm working on deciding between this and Osheaga for my festival this summer. Would appreciate any and all advice or arguments for or against either option!

I personally chose Osheaga, mostly because as much as I love Sufjan and Bon Iver, I have seen both of them already. I have not seen AF and know they traditionally put on a great show but their new album did not do it for me in the slightest. Osheaga had more artists I wanted to see total. Though most of these are "normal" acts like AM and Flo, they do have some interesting acts as well like JAMES BLAKE (this was a huge deciding factor), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modeselektor and Blood Orange. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either. Both have impeccable lineups in a kind of off year for most. To be fair, we won't know the actual Eaux Claires lineup till the day of so comparing lineups is not entirely fair yet.

I chose this because I wanted a different and unique festival experience compared to Roo and Lolla and some of the other festivals I've been too. I also wanted to go the last three years and couldn't make the dates or drive from Pittsburgh work. Not having a lineup has been both frustrating and exciting (having both Homecoming and Mo Pop passes helps with the anxiety, in the case of Bon Iver and The National not doing usual/typical sets). Sharon Van Etten and the possibility of a Planetarium/Sufjan set are my main arguments for, plus the setting. Not having a lineup and only getting two days would be my arguments against. With all that said, Reddit pretty much has most of the lineup nailed down at this point, if it is a similar format to Eaux Claires III. I know very little about Osheaga but James Blake is great and was very enjoyable at Roo 2014.

Osheaga clearly has the bigger and more “standard” festival lineup. Eaux Claires is obviously a more niche festival but will have a ton of unique sets you will never see at another festival. I’ve never done Osheaga so I can’t comment on its atmosphere, but Eaux Claires definitely has a smaller more intimate atmosphere. So I guess it depends on what you are specifically looking for: big and standard vs small and unique.
I don't think you've earned the right to do whatever the fuck EC is doing unless you're like Newport and Coachella and sell out instantly. I'm considering doing this but I need more details to make the jump

Same boat. The fomo involved with a Sufjan Planetarium set is the only thing that's stopping me from pulling the trigger in a different direction
