The festival just put up dates and a weird podcast cobbled together from fan contributions. Tickets onsale right now. The National is a lock for this, we'll see who else. EDIT: Podcast includes music from Pussy Riot, Moses Sumney, serpentwithfeet, Jlin, Marijuana Deathsquads, Charlie Parr, Kevin Morby (Woods), HO99O9, Low, and This Is The Kit.
These dates should work out well for me. Really really hoping to finally make it out to this this year. All of those artists definitely make sense.
Fleet Foxes would be amazing for this
Other hopes/guesses: -D'Angelo -Grizzly Bear -Planetarium -Open Mike Eagle -Hiss Golden Messenger and Moses Sumney should be back -Four Tet -Cat Power -Megafaun -Phoebe Bridgers

I will most likely be back for a 3rd time. Pissed that I missed year 1. For those that weren’t there this past summer, the lineup was much smaller but they had a lot of the “regular” artists listed as “artists in residence” and I would assume they might do something similar again. Regardless of the small size this is such a great festival.
so if you go with two people you need the 2 tickets, the 1 campsite, and then would you need to get a 2nd camp-access pass for the second person?
Haven't been, so I can't say for certain, but that's definitely what it looks like.
For a festival with this kind of vibe to nickel-and-dime people like that seems really strange. I'm a little surprised I haven't heart more complaints.

pay for the vibes. if four tet is there, i'd definitely consider it more.
no sunday date thats interesting. i dont know that i ever realized that.
The Friday - Saturday is actually really nice because I live 75 minutes away so it’s nice to be home and unpacked by noon on Sunday. I’ve gone 2 of 3 years and plan to go again this year so let me know if you have questions.
As for the ticket stuff, it’s seems that the ticket structure at Eaux Claires is much the same as other camping festivals like Bonnaroo.
Everyone is required to have a festival ticket. $166 Campsite Pss are required for all cars in the campground. (Camping Pass includes 1 Camp Pass) $165 All individuals in Campsite Vehicle need a Camp Pass. $35
Since I usually go by myself, I have to get the Festival Pass ($166) And Campsite Pass ($165). A hypothetical passenger in my car would require the festival ticket ($166) and the Camp Pass ($35) And would split the Campsite pass among passengers.
I think this is the same structure that Bonnaroo implemented in 2016.
I will say that the price compared to other 3 / 4 day camping festivals would be considered more expensive, however, the it has probably taken over the #vibes award since BonaPoo took a crap.

I've never seen another festival, including Bonnaroo, that requires each individual to have a separate "Camp Pass." Normally it's just the one pass for the car/campsite, which in Roo's case is $60+fees, not $165.

I assume it’s because the campsite is NOT located directly next to the stage area and you take buses back and forth from the campsite to the stage; your $35 Camp Pass gets you the access onto the bus. The Campsite Pass allows you to get a car into the campsite when you initially arrive (like Bonnaroo).
If you don’t like being “nickel-and-dimed”, they offer a ton of other options they are less expensive. Plus the music only ticket is $166 if you have other arrangements it’s not really expensive. But if you do break it down, 4 people camping at Eaux Claires will cost $225 before tax / fees. 4 people camping at Bonnaroo will cost $340 before taxes / fees.

Oh it's definitely cheaper no question, but Bonnaroo is 4-days and boasts a bigger lineup that includes arena/stadium-level headliners. Being a small, niche, independent camping festival is difficult to pull off these days, so I cut them some slack. It just seems like a lot of different things to pay for when you're dealing with a 2-day festival.
Still, I've heard nothing but praise for this festival and lineup-wise it seems so very up my alley that I'm still really hoping to go this year.
I haven’t found a solid list of all artists that were featured on the mixtapes so far so I went through all the Reddit posts and other information I could find to make a proper list:
Aero Flynn (?) *Anais Mitchell Bon Iver / Justin Vernon (in some form) Ho99o9 Iron Boy Singers Jlin Kevin Morby Low Marijuana Deathsquads Midnite Express Moses Sumney Patti Smith *Phil Cook Phoebe Bridgers Pussy Riot Serpentwithfeet Sharon Van Etten The National *The Staves This is the Kit

Justin Vernon has been handing out names for this on Twitter pretty regularly. Noname, serpent with feet, big red machine (?), Sufjan, “potentially” Arcade Fire and a bunch of others if you go further back
