That's what the consensus is...with TTB thrown in there, with some other random acts (like Sheryl Crow and the remains of PFunk)
Sheryl Crow? She seems like she would ask for too much money for her value at a fest like this. She is 13th at Roo so that'd likely translate to a 2nd or 3rd line at a fest this size. Are there many Deadheads that would find value in that? And yeah, P Funk is a lazy booking now and a poor show. A bunch of Deadheads watching George's grandkids rap should be funny though. People were walking away from the set at Catskill Chill. I can't imagine it flying with this crowd.
Do you think that schedule means the Relix stage will only be used for late nights? There are about three more slots per day on the main stage compared to last year and only the late night showing on Relix.
Does any of this appeal to you but the Dead? I know you're a fan of them, but figured not much else
There’s usually stuff that I would like to check out but don’t have strong feelings about. Not 4 days worth though. I’ve wanted to do a day of the fest as part of a weekend trip to Charlottesville but it’s never quite worked out.
Neil Young is a big deal to me, and he’s old enough where I’d have trouble passing up any reasonable chance to see him. Almost relieved he won’t be here so I don’t have to sweat it. I can catch Dead Co some other time.
Yeah I mean if the rumors of P-Funk, Blues Traveler, etc. are true, they aren't very pricey bands. Both have played the local free shows in cities near me within the past few years. Umph isn't cheap but they aren't in the super upper echelon. WSP is the likely Friday headliner and in terms on headliners they are pretty cheap.
