Couldn't make it to the farm this year unfortunately, but have been glued to the stream all weekend. Foundations of Funk fucking KILLED IT! That run from Funk to TTB to DeadCo was fucking straight fire. Pains me not to be there but enjoying the hell out of this couch tour! Also irrationally excited for Sheryl Crow into TTB into DeadCo2. Would be shocked if Sheryl didn't sit in with TTB!
Bob Mayer and Otiel came out with Lettuce after Dead and Co watching the replay now
That Lettuce JGB late night set was one of the best sets I have seen of the year. I missed a bunch of Dead and Co because I met the family out at the drive in after my fantasy draft but the jamming around The Other One sounded great.
Branford fit in perfectly. Great Dead and Co tonight. I need to get to Lockn’ in the next few years for sure. I thought Spafford was notable earlier but it sucked that it was an hour festival set. They kind of played it like it was early Sunday afternoon as opposed to 2/3 in the morning which was fine except that they were just kicking that groove when the stage had to turn for the next guest. Felt more like a set 1, but again, still very good.
Only caught a little bit of that Branford set, my stream was super choppy and I was ready for bed.
The visuals for the Dead shows looked to be very on point. Were those the same ones for the Summer tour? Had to skip ATL (regrettably).
That Foundations of Funk set was easily the highlight of what I watched. Didn't realize it was FOF at first, just saw Ivan and Ian and thought it was Dumpsta before getting excited at seeing The Meters up there.
That show was heatfire. My dog was getting pissed at me raging it in my den. Then DeadCo came out. WOW.
The usual songs the Dead played were great but was def not expecting Ain't No Use, which is my fav Meters song. Super awesome to see them play that together.

Lockn delivered again. That Lettuce midnight set (if you want to call it that), was probably my favorite of the weekend. Definitely did not expect that level of collaboration. This will continue to be a festival that I plan on attending every year.
