I was just coming to ask if it’s a bad sign that still no dates have been announced, but this seems like good news.
Just give me Portishead or Massive Attack please!
looking at last year's Day For Night social media activity, they didn't start really hyping things until about mid-august. even then it was just posts like "soon" or "stay tuned", with #december in some posts.
i can't find where they specifically announced the dates last year. it might not have been until the blind presale in September.

They've announced the dates for next year are December 16-17th, 2017. At least those are the dates they give when buying the blind presale. ----------------------------------------------------
I'm nowhere in panic mode, but I do want to make some plans to go. I won't go if it's become a multi-venue type situation which means I'll have to make alternate Christmas present plans. I know that shit is 6 months away, but if I could go ahead and buy the tickets and pay for the Air B&B, I can move onto other things in life I need to pay for.
Wasn’t that a short acoustic set? Newport also has a cultural cachet that d4n does not. I just can’t imagine that d4n could/would pay Waters’ booking fee. I don’t think omar’s post was supposed to be taken seriously.

He played a 10 song set at newport. I’m not taking his post seriously, but I think they could and would book him.
I would be afraid to see what might happen with the rest of the lineup with an expensive headliner like Waters. Fortunately it will never happen. Newport is its own deal.
I still think LCD would be an ideal headliner for this fest. I don’t think they would book them without Despacio. I mostly want Soulwax or Chemical Bros though. Definitely just wishful thinking, but it almost feels like they’ll pull one of those three this year.
Max Cooper was supposed to play Denver in June and ended up postponing the show. It just got rescheduled for December 8th. He'd be basically a perfect fit here and the date makes almost too much sense.
