Carpenter Brut isnt any thing too special, but it held my attention enough and seems like it would make for a good fest set. The only chance I had to see Future Islands was at Hangout 3 years ago and I choose the more rare act in Talib Kweli which was a really tough call. Of course a few months later I won tix to see Kweli play with the Soul Rebels.
where are you staying for the fest?
Still working on those plans, any recommendations? My group is looking for a hotel over an AirBnB. Just bought tickets today for the fest so we're officially locked into going!
I liked Carpenter Brut ok, also will check out a few more tracks by Bahamas, A-Trak, TOKiMONSTA, Calpurnia, The Beaches, Son Little and Alice Merton. Definitely the weakest undercard of the 3 days, but that's just because the other two are crazy stacked
first time going to Canada so we booked the hotel the fest offers. 2 queen beds came out to like 630ish USD. Couldnt find a better Air BnB price or a place that was a shorter Subway ride.
appreciate all the feedack, looks like we are gonna skip it as we can both see Byrne more conveniently and for cheaper at local fests. I emailed Osheaga about adding a night to the hotel if we book through them but they do not offer that
Go the airbnb route. So many awesome places for cheap in Montreal. Last time I was there I went with 4 other people and we had an awesome 2 bedroom apartment with a deck for $800 for Wed-Sun.
I disagree with the people bashing blue hills. We saw Gorillaz there and it was great. It's a smaller area, there didn't seem to be a bad seat.

Check out Allan Rayman if you like slower, blues-ish indie rock
Not sure how I feel about this new Arctic Monkeys, but I can say for certain that it's exactly the type of album I didn't wanna hear before their headlining set...

I listened to it once and thought it was really boring too. But I hear it gets better once you revisit it later with expectations gone... I just haven't got around to it yet. Oh well, still love AM and I am sure the live shows won't disappoint.
just wish they were playing Saturday but regardless i missed them the only chance i had a few years back so i hope i can make the set this time around. their last album was really slept on

After seeing St. Vincent’s Boston Calling set yesterday I’m inclined to think to think she will be the Friday night green stage closer. If she’s bringing the same show it needs atleast a little bit of darkness.

Wonder if BROCKHAMPTON cancelling their US dates includes Osheaga, assuming it does unless I hear otherwise
I don't think it includes shows happening that far in time, I just think they're cancelling the shows announced for June so they can release Puppy in July and come back in July/August.

Iirc the app had James Blake listed as the Green closer when theyes accidentally had those listed the day of the lineup drop.
I'm hoping by some miracle I can catch all of YYYs, James Blake, St. Vincent and Leon Vynehall that night, but we'll see

I didn't realize that they had a tour gap. I tweeted at them, so we'll see if they respond

It is sort of unnecessary unless you are staying no where near the subway.
The yellow line drops off literally at the gates of the festival.
Oh wait, I think its just a deal on a bus ticket to Montreal? Yeah I mean, if you need a way to get to the city; taking a bus is as good as any option. I would prefer flying, train, or just driving there myself though. Not much of a bus guy.
Sooo excited for this set now. hope we get a more energetic crowd though.
I hope you do too. They sounded great but the crowd had some cool people but a lot of bored people and some obnoxious drunks. Was not as fun as the other two times I've seen Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
