Frankly, festivals such as Osheaga aren't getting a female headliner if they cannot back it up $$$-wise. So I wouldn't expect one this particular year.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, can you explain?

It doesn't appear that there's a female (fronted) act touring this year that makes financial sense to headline Osheaga, unlike the risks made in prior years with Florence, Lana, and Lorde.

Meet Me in the Bathroom did a lot to bring back all those early 2000's bands in the public consciousness, but not enough for YYY's to headline outside of their hometown. They're no LCD Soundsystem.
David Byrne, Jack White and NOT Eminem already makes this one a winner
If Byrne is here he wouldn't be a headliner though, right? Maybe second or even third line, like coachella?
Definitely not a headliner.
On that note, remember when Osheaga booked Elvis Costello as headliner in 2011, and there were more people on a smaller stage at Ratatat at the same time?
Wonder if theyd really book both Jack and AM as headliners again so soon
That hasn't prevented them from doing so in the past! I'm thinking of Kendrick and Florence specifically but that was promotions to headliners. Black Keys as well - 2012 and back in 2015.

The Killers are probably due for this. I think they played an early edition of Osheaga and haven't been back since. They did have a QC date on their tour but that was at the beginning of this month

yeah I agree. Also after that whole 2017 Lolla thing where the Weeknd cancelled and The Killers stepped in instead of playing 2018 makes me think they were scheduled to play 2018 Osheaga and Lolla from the get go.
Someone named greenwhale56 on Reddit hinted to the lineup being released on 2/22 for what it's worth: https://www.reddit.com/r/osheaga/comments/7vrpt0/portugal_the_man_near_niagara_falls_on_august_1st/
the xx I could see for sure since Panorama has them as well. The only thing that could prevent it, is that they did have a show at Parc Jean Drapeau last year. So I'm not sure if they'd book them for the same venue twice? If that makes sense..

Are they back at the 2016 venue this year or are they still doing construction there? Both locations were really cool but the new location is such a hike.
