Getting back on subject of the thread. The Pumpkins added second shows in Chicago in LA.
Those cities were previously profitable for the tour, so hopefully this should fix that.
It's very odd too - I've been monitoring LA sales and there were still hundreds of tickets yesterday. Now it's sold out? No way hundreds of tickets sold overnight. This reeks of "artificial" sellout, at least for LA.
the fact that he posted the setlist prior to the tour starting is also kind of mind boggling tbh
Didn’t they do some kind of fan poll? I saw the links, but I never clicked on them because they weren’t playing here. I also saw them on tour with Manson in 15 and thought it was good enough. I’d see them at Voodoo or a festival, but I’m not traveling to see them.
It makes sense to post the songs they are going to play so people aren’t detoured away because of new material. Nothing wrong with showing your hand early. At least the audience knows what to expect.

They already labeled the tour as “celebrating the first five albums”.
Late to this party but I'm one of the suckers who shelled out for a floor seat at MSG. My first ever concert was SP at the very same venue in 1996 (the one that was cancelled the night before due to Jonathan Melvoin's death). Agree on all counts that this should have been a major market only tour OR done smaller theaters in B markets.
Also, to the Arcade Fire point, I have no idea why Live Nation/their management thinks they can fill arenas across the country. They're still a niche band (a BIG niche band, but still not mainstream) and trying to sell out the Enormodome in Topeka is just not gonna happen.
Arcade Fire was an arena band for a bit, but not anymore. It makes sense that they would try and carry on the success they found earlier in the decade. I don’t think their next effort will be so ambitious though.

Seems like they're still an arena band in Europe. I vaguely recall a lot of the Reflektor stops being at amphitheaters and sheds, which is much more fitting for them.

First show is happening right now. Excited to see the reviews and setlist tomorrow. They posted some photos of the stage production during rehearsals and it definitely looks like the most intense stage show they've ever put on.
I'm wondering the same but last night about an hour before the first show StubHub had a pair of actual front row floor seats going for about $70 each lol
im not seeing anything that great on stub. some upper bowls are going less than face, and there are lower bowls that are about $30 dollars off. the floor stuff might be discounted but it's still way too much.
Annnnd the give away was today. Missed it by a couple of hours but yeah brutal. I've been following shows at Toyota center for years and never seen anything like it. There are a lot of open spots on the main site and resale isnt any better. Currently debating whether to see this for about 60 for 2 people or Neurosis and Converge for 80.
Bob Dylan once said the times are a changing, Billy Corgan never heard that song.
