Around what time did Metric and the Pumpkins go on?
Idk what time Metric went on but they ended at 745, and then pumpkins went on a little before 830.
*it was probably 7, and then the pumpkins likely at 815, everything was very timed and it looked like a huge crew so even though the setup was big, they had to book it because it ran for so long.

They just announced the special guests for the official 30th anniversary show in NJ on Thursday.
Courtney Love, Chino Moreno from Deftones, Peter Hook from Joy Division/New Order, Dave Keuning and Mark Stoermer from The Killers, Davey Havok from AFI, and Mark McGrath.

Anyone remember what time Pumpkins came on for their show? Trying to swing it tonight but probably cant get there until 830
I just got an email from MSG about tomorrow night's show. They said 6pm doors, 7pm Metric, 8pm Smashing Pumpkins. I'd imagine it'll be similar for tonight's show.

I'm going tonight, and for a while I was considering driving up to PNC tomorrow as well, but it's just too damn far. Why do artists keep considering that an NYC area venue.....its like a 2 hour drive from Queens.
Also a bizarre place for the Pumpkins to pick for their special 30th anniversary show. You'd think they would do it in Chicago.

Also I just checked Ticketmaster out of curiosity.....there's a few tickets left for tonight at MSG, and it looks like they really dropped the price on them. Seats in the 100 sections that used to be $156 are now $75, and seats in the chase bridges are now $35, I think those used to be like $75.
I'm pretty pissed considering I paid $110 each for my seats in the 200 sections.

Ha, I think that's what everyone in northern NJ thinks about Jones Beach/Nassau Coliseum/Forest Hills. I'm excited for MSG tonight, skipping Rise Against/AFI to see it.
Just bought a lawn ticket for tomorrows show, and now it says its going to rain all day tomorrow. Good times.
Also, I have a spare up for grabs if anyone wants it. Free. Pm me.
fuack I would claim it.. but its 50 min away from my town (I live in Jersey) and public transportation is crappy unlike nyc...having a whip here is crucial if you wanna move around.

Ok I take back what I said earlier.....despite the show seemingly being sold out, they still upgraded me for free! I went from section 205 to 120.
The show was amazing, they seriously played for over 3 hours. My only criticism is that they could've made it a little shorter.....cut out the 3 covers and the Iha fronted b-side. The arena looked pretty full, if it wasn't sold out it was pretty damn close. A decent amount of people left after Ava Adore, a lot more left after Bullet, and then the place really cleared out after Muzzle.

I can't understand why they didn't save some of the bigger songs for the encore. Doing the so-so new song and a cover for an encore is basically asking people to leave early (which I did).

What a weird ass concert. I picked the right show to go to.
I saw Smashing Pumpkins perform Fly by Sugar Ray and Breakin The Law by Judas Priest with Mark McGrath on vocals. All of the singles from Celebrity Skin with Courtney Love. And the best part of the whole night was hearing them play a bunch of Joy Division/New Order songs with Pete Hook. Age of Consent, Love Will Tear Us Apart, Trasmission, ect.
They played Smashing Pumpkins songs too.
I also picked an opportune moment when it was dead quiet, to loudly say "hasnt he been on Alex Jones' show like 4 times?!?!" Got a few death stares (because central/south jersey). But I am pretty happy with myself.
Never rained a drop. Couldn't have asked for it to go any better. They were offering upgrades for the back of the amphitheater for $15 extra, but the view wasnt much better than the lawn. If it had started raining I def would have sprung for it.
