Jags just announced Marrone will be back in 2019. I was questioning Wash coming back as DC. Maddogmattis was calling for Barrone replacement. No offence taken being misquoted but save the fake news for the politics thread 😉
Its going to be fun trying to spin this team and the decision to keep Caldwell AND Marrone to sponsors this offseason. But hey, at least Im not in Ticket Sales.
As for the Bears and Jags defenses, obviously I wasn't ready for an 8 loss streak after being up on the Pats in the AFC Championship game and starting 3-1. This team fucking blows. Malik Jackson, Telvin Smith, AJ Bouye, Barry Church, Myles Jack, T Gipson all regressed mightily this year. Losing Posluzney and Aaron Colvin apparantly mattered, and the overall discipline of the entire team was a joke all season. I'd have to look at numbers from Bears this year vs Jags last year to see which was better. I havent personally heard people begin to wonder if this Bears D could be one of the beat Ds ever, but I havent been paying attention enough. But obviously last year doesnt matter and this team is garbage.
Either way, I wish we didnt win last week. We need a quarterback, running back, wrs and offensive lineman. There is literally no good players on our offense. Dede Westbrook could be a league average 2nd wr moving forward. Brandon Linder was a great guard that we stupidly moved to center 3 years ago.
This was the worst season in Jaguars history given expectations coming in. When you work for a sports team, that makes life significantly worse than it could be, but I still work for a sports team and thats pretty cool so fuggit. Im just happy to be done with this shit show of a season.
Jags will be fine. Look no further than Texans who finished last in AFC south last year and started 0-3. Grab some cold beer and enjoy the draft this year. I hear you about working in the sports world. My oldest changed from accounting to sports marketing/management and has really enjoyed interning for Iowa Cubs in stadium ops. He too doesn't think he would want to work in ticket sales but enjoyed everything else in the stadium management. So much going on even during the offseason. He graduates this year and has offer to return to Des Moines but it's not a permanent position. So he's checking out a job fair in Chicago this week with lots of pro teams and some colleges sending recruiters to the United Center. Feel free to come on over to another small market and root for Colts this postseason.
I'm kinda done with entire defenses running to the endzone to pose for a picture after every big play.
Haha. We’ve been calling out mfers for that for a while. Saints have the [tm] . We have minds like Cam Jordan who come up with that shit. Ingram had to call out the Chiefs for the Choppa Style today. That’s us too. We have that NWO kind of mentality and figure it’s funny to imitate us a little but get your own shit. Kamara had to put on that ski mask a couple weeks ago to let players know they were stealing our shit. Haha
Haha fuck you. I was actually thinking a tight game with the Texans would would be fun but it’s going to be tough getting through Foxboro in that divisional round. To be honest and stepping away from shit talking bs, I have no idea what’s going to happen. I like our chances playing at home, but we’d be playing either the Seahawks (which is an unpredictable game), Eagles who I think we beat at home or the Cowboys who we owe one too. Then if we win, it’s probably Rams or Bears. More power to anyone who can come into the dome and beat us. And if it’s the Cowboys in the divisional round, they would have beaten us twice this year. Nothing I could say about that. Idk know who wins the AFC either. Smart money usually is on the Patriots. But if the Chiefs can finally take the next step under Reid, they could be really tough. Pats can score with them so if it comes down to Brady vs Mahomes, it could be a great game. I like y’all too. Both colts games this year were good. I’d like the Texans better had they gotten the bye though.

I think the Boys pull one out vs the Seahawks and then probably lose to yall. The Seahawks are more likely to beat yall imo.
Everything in Texans history suggests to me they will lose to the Colts. TX teams in the 21st century can't have nice things and the Texans are lucky to ever beat a non-Bengals playoff team.
Yeah. Who knows? I love all 4 games next week. On paper there are some solid matchups. Here are the most recent odds I can find. Saints at +225,Pats +500, Bears +900 and eagles down from 200:1 to 30:1. That would seem like a value buy for anyone who was in at 200.

That's cool to hear your son is getting his foot in the door. Is that the same job fair that actually @fortyfive33 now is going to in Chicago?
If your son ever has any questions about the industry, feel free to send him my way!
I'll be rooting for the Bears this postseason. 'Tis where both my parents are kind of from (Woodstock and Glen Ellyn).
