You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

Hello! I have room for one more in my car, comfortably (car is pretty spacey it's a scion XB, if you are curious). I live in Dallas. It would be great if anyone was interested so we could split gas and not burn holes in our wallets due to high gas prices this summer. I know people would be more comfortable with people they have common interest with, and if you don't mind that is cool too! I know it's a while away but I am just trying to plan ahead. Some of the bands/artist I am excited to see at 'roo are Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grizzly Bear, The Tallest Man On Earth, Animal Collective, The National. This will be my first bonnaroo! I can't wait!
*edit* i have found a fourth passenger! can't wait to see you all!
I'm heading to the Austin show on the 10th. Did you go to the Houston show, if so, how was it? Excited to see Sigur Ros, never seen them live before.
Just saw this...the Houston show was great! I decided to hit up the Houston show, because floor seats for the Austin show were all sold out.
I loved all aspects of the show. Completely different atmosphere than when I saw them at Lolla last year, but just as incredible of a show!!!
The Austin show was phenomenal, blew my expectations out of the water. I didn't buy my ticket til last minute since I didn't know if I'd be out of town for work or not, but I actually found a front row of the bowl section, about 2 sections back from the stage for $55 on StubHub (Sec 117, Row A). Snapped it up immediately and I had a great seat for the show.
I had never seen Sigur Ros live before, and was skeptical of how their music would translate live. Thankfully my fears were completely unfounded, they were amazing. Loved their stage/light show as well. You can be sure I'll be seeing them again whenever I get the chance. The standing ovation they got from the crowd at the end had the most fantastic energy, you could tell the band really appreciated it.
What part of SA are you in? I'm in the far NW, near 1604 and Culebra.
Headed to the farm for the first time! Leaving DFW on Wednesday with my sis, have no idea what to expect (other than a beastly drive!). We'll be flying a big Texas flag over our tent wherever we set up though

There's no way to truly prepare for your first Bonnaroo, you just have to experience it
Just watch out for the cops as you get to Tennessee, they'll be on the lookout for people on the way to Bonnaroo (so I'd advise against making your car noticeable, like painting "Bonnaroo or Bust!" on your rear window). You know they love to bust us dirty hippies!
Just be in the moment and have fun. I still remember the first time I rolled up on the farm. It was Wednesday night and the atmosphere was incredible. Everyone was just ready to get down. A big smile spread across my face and I knew I was in the right place

^This!
Be prepared to get stop once you get to Tennessee if your car is Bonnaroo'd out lol. But hey if your driving clean with nothing to hide then you should have nothing to worry about. If your not though then I would be as low key as possible. And your first Bonnaroo will be a great experience. My only advice to you is don't be afraid to leave your group if their doing something you dont want to do (If they want to head back to camp early cause their tired, At a set that your really not feeling) My first year I made the mistake of just following my group and I had fun. But I know I would have had more fun if I did what I wanted to do.

Be prepared to have your endurance tested, you will be standing a looong time and may have a long walk to and from your camp site each day depending on where you're camped. Don't give in to the initial astonishment or feelings of being overwhelmed, just let it all happen and you'll have an awesome time! The ride is definitely a bitch, but there is some awesome scenery along the way, I'm comin from the DFW myself
Expect a lot of high fives, a lot of good vibes, a lot of dancing, and a lot of awesome sights and sounds. Also, be prepared to make this a regular part of your life each year! haha this stuff is addicting.

I'm leaving DFW Wednesday as well. It's a little over a 12 hour drive but it goes by kinda fast. A good stopping point for lunch or dinner (if you're leaving during the day) is Memphis. Something to look forward to during the monotonous drive. Watch out for a town called Murfreesboro once you're getting closer to Manchester. They have a knack for pulling people over and it's more of an inconvenience than anything. Oh, and you'll probably have one of the greatest times of your life. So there's that.

Holy shit all of that? This might necessitate a trip to Houston.

I used to live off of Culebra and 410. Now I live off of 410 and Palo Alto...south side

This is my first longer then a few hours road trip where I'm actually driving most of the way. It's gonna be a real endurance test, but I'm super excited!

Hi folks. This year will be my first time attending Bonnaroo and I'm stoked! I live in Huntsville and was planning on flying from Houston but if there is anyone looking for folks to carpool with them I may be interested. I would pitch in gas money and help drive. If anyone in the Houston area is looking to fill spots in their vehicle you can email me.
40 miles north of Houston (Conroe) looking to catch a ride. This will be my 6th year going, i have a 10x10 ez-up and a 7 day marine cooler for everyone in the group. And i will obviously pay my share of the gas monies.

I'm driving in from DFW early Wednesday AM. Let me know if there is going to be a DFW caravan. Have done the drive multiple times and it can be pretty boring without a group.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
