true but it was played out so nicely to see the superjam and then catch like, what was it before 45 minutes of Virtual Self after. It stopped at the same time as Chromeo before right?
Yeah it was. But a longer superjam isn't a bad thing.

Definitely not a bad thing, and was honestly stumped as to how they planned on fitting all those artists into an hour and 10 minutes. But it’s a bummer that I’ll only be able to see the very end of Virtual Self. I don’t imagine I’ll want to leave the superjam early, but I suppose we’ll see.

this exactly! I’m extremely happy about the SuperJam being extended, especially with how many artists are in it. But I don’t see myself leaving the superjam early. I like staying through sets all the way especially a superjam cause if I left early I know something crazy would happen that I would be upset if I didn’t stay for later. I guess I’ll just catch the end of Virtual Self. Plus the superjam lineup is impressive this year, so I think I’m gonna stay there but we’ll see tho.
I'm a big fan of Sylvan Esso, so I mainly want to see what Amelia Meath does in the Superjam. I may dip for Virtual Self is she's earlier, but it really just depends how good the Superjam is. I wasn't super impressed with the one I saw in 2016.

The one last year was really good. Definitely an improvement over 2015 and 2016. I think this year's will be good considering the lineup and theme.

I don’t think it could get much worse than 2016, but also last year was a huge step back in the right direction. It’ll be solid, if not great.

If I skipped Anderson Paak to get a good spot for Bon Iver would that make me a bad person?
Skip entirely? I just feel like that’d be slightly regrettable. Bon Iver will be great, but so will Paak. That said, skipping may allow you to snag pit for Bon Iver, which would be dope. I’m probably gonna start heading over to the Which during the last 10 minutes of Paak.

Yeah I was thinking about snagging pit for Bon Iver if I skipped Paak. I would also enjoy seeing Old Crow Medicine Show beforehand. But I would also enjoy getting pit for Anderson Paak, I would just have to leave 15-20 minutes early.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

So do we really think they're going to keep Muse at 1h15m with 15 minutes of absolutely nothing afterwards, or will they likely do one of those last-minute extensions? Cause I'm thinking that it will be the former. Still pissed about that, Muse even has 1h45m at BottleRock in a couple days.

I mean it's not unheard of for Muse to only play 1h15min but I do think it's stupid not to give them those extra 15 minutes. I just think it makes Bonnaroo look bad. Maybe they did it because of crowd control between Muse and Bassnectar? But I still think it's stupid.

Yeah I know it's not unheard of, I just assumed with it being Roo that they'd get 1h40m+. I've been wanting to see Muse headline Roo for years, so it sucks that they have literally the shortest billed headliner time in Roo history (iirc). I agree it makes Roo look bad, I feel like there's no legitimate reason other than saving some money. I feel like a ton of people who are there for Bassnectar wouldn't really care about missing some of Muse if they had to anyway. I'm sure a lot of people will be at Bassnectar early.

same this is upsetting me. I’ve been waiting for Muse to play Roo and the shortest set for a headliner has me sad

Yep. They were the main reason for me buying a ticket. I know that seems strange, but seeing Muse in 2009 was the reason I fell in love with music. Once I saw they were headlining I felt like I had to see them crush the What stage.

yeah, luckily you’ve seen them other times vs me being my first time getting to see them. Just wanted to see them play a longer set so I can get as much out of this headlining slot that I can. But maybe they’ll surprise us and keep playing a little bit longer anyways since nothing will be happening for 15 minutes. But probably not. And it’s not weird, Muse is literally about one of the only bands really driving me back to Roo this year so I understand completely.

I'm hoping they play over as well but not counting on it. Two big reasons it's bothering is me is 1) because there's 15 minutes of dead time after, while there isn't on Saturday, and 2) there's like 5 different bands before or after them with the same set time.

yeah really makes little sense, I understand majority of everybody is going from Muse to Bassnectar. But that’s the perfect two artists to schedule either right after the other or even overlapping cause of the audience difference with those genres. Not saying their aren’t fans of both. But just makes sense to me at least to have one end and one start right after. Or even Bassnectar running into the end of Muse would be fine with me. Dull out the crowd a bit
MUSE's BottleRock crowd is pretty thin. They're up against The Chainsmokers, St.Paul & tBB, Bleachers, The Districts and Moonalice.
Jesus are you serious? That’s a set of decent artist to be up against. No awesome groups but I’m a big Muse, St. Paul, and Bleachers fan so that would suck
Paramore didn't play Misery Business at Boston Calling. People aren't gonna be happy about that if it stays that way for Roo. They even played the instrumental track from the After Laughter.
