I'm cool with this. Ups chances slightly of ODESZA being there since her most famous song is a feature on Falls by them. She's not my favorite but I love that song.

With no Boston show on Leg II (closest being Hartford CT in March) which was announced an hour ago, and the constant mention by that curator person guy at Crash Line, safe to say Travis Scott is a headliner meaning...

?? • Travis Scott • twenty one pilots
I'm...unimpressed so far.
Curator person? you mean the reddit post? and yeah this is looking shittier and shittier by the day. Foo Fighters - Travis Scott - twenty one pilots is a terrible top line. I'd hope the blue and red stage closers make up for it though.

Yeah that idk I just figured it seemed more legit my bad.
But yea, honestly if it's that or even Flo-top-Scott like that entire top line played at the garden within 3 months of each other, kinda sad
Maybe this is just me trying to convince myself to stay hopeful (yeah that's definitely what this is) but I would argue that headliners are the least important part of a lineup, at least for me. The crowds are biggest so i'm further away, i'm generally drunk and i'm always exhausted by then. Sure, yeah, I'd rather hang out in the back and see someone I like at the end of the night, but given that no festival lineup is going to be perfect for anyone, i think i'd sacrifice headliners first. Theoretically, I could skip headliners and still see 6-8 bands in a day that I really like, which is already worth the price of admission.

Yeah if someone I wanna see is at the Blue stage before or during someone like twenty one pilots that'd be really nice. make it easier to get a spot. also the undrrcard is always awesome. aside from tool and mumford and sons, 2017 was my taste of music in a festival lol

Now that we're getting really close, I'm gonna make my bold prediction
Paul McCartney - Travis Scott - twenty one pilots Tame Impala or Vampire Weekend - Erykah Badu - Death Cab for Cutie A$AP Rocky - Solange - Greta Van Fleet
The Strokes have just announced that they're going to launch their comeback in 2019, kicking things off at a festival in Spain in July.
So, no Strokes at Boston Calling. Not in 2019, anyway.
(Here's a reason not to book Travis Scott, btw. According to the "supposedly legit celebrity intel" site, Crazy Days And Nights, when Travis Scott was booked on SNL earlier this season, he was so drugged up that SNL had Paul Simon ready to go on short notice, if Travis Scott was too wasted to perform.)

If that lineup holds true, Macca would completely redeem it for me. I probably wouldn't buy a 3-day pass, unless there's a ton of stuff I like on the lower lines, but at least I'd be going on McCartney day.
Maybe if Travis Scott wasn't such a scumbag, he would've gotten through the border more easily. Getting into Canada usually doesn't take that long, it's getting out that you wait in lines and whatnot. (At least in my experience.)
Listening to Sasha Sloan's new EP because work is a joke this week... and it's not terrible. Sure, kinda generic synthy pop, but the songwriting is good at points. It's not really inspiring me to listen to more of her, but it's unoffensive and pleasant enough to check her out if her set doesn't conflict with someone i care more about. (Also that Odesza song she is featured on is great, so her playing that would get me excited.)

So I think we can count The Cure completely out I was listening to first wave on SiriusXM and the DJ mentioned he did an interview with Robert Smith who said there is a possibility they may do some North American shows in the fall, making it seems Like they’re going to stick around Europe for the spring as well as summer.

It sounds like there is a real chance they do ACL/Voodoo.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
So, we thinking this lineup is out january 3rd? Having the coachella lineup out wednesday the 2nd makes sense as well. Hoping for some radio station to leak it again.
The majority of performers at any large, multi-genre music festival likely indulge in substances other than weed, but the overwhelmingly vast majority of them are able to fulfill their contractual obligations.
The fact that a live network television show needed a stand-by act in case Travis Scott was unable to perform suggests that Scott's drug use may cross a threshold beyond which businesses may be wary of booking him to perform live.
That's a real shame for Boston Calling, though a nationwide fall tour would be nicer for all USA fans of The Cure.
Yeah, while that does suck,I'd much rather see them at their own show.
I'd much rather they be booked at Boston Calling. A late summer/early fall area show by The Cure would almost certainly be in Mansfield, which isn't exactly on the Red Line.

Crazy Days and Nights is a fun site, but don't believe everything you read.
