I'd much rather they be booked at Boston Calling. A late summer/early fall area show by The Cure would almost certainly be in Mansfield, which isn't exactly on the Red Line.
Mansfield is only likely if the tour goes through Live Nation, but the band could easily play Agganis Arena again. Or TD Garden, given that Agganis Arena sold out instantly last time.

I try and leave a few minutes before the show ends to beat out traffic. At the DMB show last summer, I was in some far back parking lot and got stuck there until after Midnight. For some other shows, I've been out in less than 10 minutes.

yeah i was talking about mansfield. leaving weezer/panic a couple years ago was hell. I got the premium parking for the TDE tour this year though and it was much better.

Where's all the thinking about the lineup drop happening this week coming from? Hasn't the lineup drop always been mid-to-late January?
Last couple years it's been the day after Coachella. Last year Coach dropped, then the next day was Boston Calling (the killers played the garden the sunday after the lineup drop). So if Coachella does drop today, we could see a lineup drop tomorrow.

if this happens, ill be really pissed but not as pissed if we get strong blue stage and red stage closers. I really want Tame Impala as #4
Coachella delay could be related to Kanye dropping out...?
Ultimately, I think too many festival/tour announcements are tied to Coachella's lineup drop, so they have to release today if that was the plan (maybe 3pm eastern/noon pacific?) because it would just over-complicate so many timelines/onsales/etc. The logistics of moving that much around would be a nightmare. If it's not out until next week, I would think that was the planned date all along.
Say Coachella doesn't drop their lineup today, which...could happen.

It depends on when Coach does it.
If they go today, BC could do it tomorrow. Or maybe early-mid next week.
If Coach holds until tomorrow, BC is probably waiting until Mon-Wed next week.
What I wanna know is- OK AEG needs a new headliner for Coachella as Kanye [supposedly] dropped out 24 hours ago. If that takes until the end of the month (worst case), will BC really wait until then to drop their lineup? If so, I'm always amazed how much control a single festival has in the industry.

Definitely doesn't have to be today... but based on last year it seemed like it was likely to be today. Similarly, they could announce today and then BC still wait until next week. We really have no way of knowing if it will play out the same as last year or not... i think we're just hopeful that it does since it was a fairly early release compared to prior years.
From what people on the Coachella boards are saying BC and Govball will still release lineups regardless of if Coachella’s lineup comes out today. Apparently something about they have a contract based on the date not the actual release of the lineup. So we will see if that holds up assuming Coachella won’t release today which I think is still unlikely.
Regardless of who's near the top of the lineup, an undercard that includes Low Cut Connie, Pinegrove, Seratones, Curtis Harding, and SWAY would make me very happy.
(If every spot hasn't already been booked, I'd imagine Crash Line is probably scrambling to book SWAY right now, given that they've blown up on Indie617, the first internet or terrestrial radio station to give them airplay. If SWAY is doing U.S. festivals in 2019, they'll be in the lineup.)
Honestly I don't know any of those aside from Pinegrove, whom I love. I'll check them out though
