Guys i dont wanna be a wet blanket but i just feel like we're getting our hopes too high lol
who knows, maybe Crash Line will announce and it'll be the best darn lineup ever but..
Yeah im not expecting macca and its def gonna have the weakest top 3 of the new BC but im sure itll have a solid undercard/solid subs. it always does. Also the competition is pretty terrible sans coachella so hopefully they at least have something better than the other northeast fests so far. Who knows though, could be as bad or worse than firefly.

Needless to say a bad lineup would cause a PANIC! on the festival's socials heheh
I just want them to tweet or post ANYTHING. I find it incredibly off-putting that it's been a full week w/o a public tweet about anything at all. Though I guess people are receiving the notification to update the Boston Calling app so there's something to start with

I'd be pretty happy with Florence - Tame Impala and a decent undercard. Though that might be too much to ask for.
I wonder if we can expect any more electronic acts? Never been their booking forte, but Kaytranada and Gesaffelstein wouldn't be entirely out of place.

It's too easy to get your hopes up when you see stuff like The Strokes being at Gov Ball. It's fun to speculate about best-case scenarios, but i'm trying really hard to keep some sense of realism here. I'd love to get Gambino/Strokes/Florence, which I'd say is my "best-case" within reason. In theory it could happen, but I certainly don't think it will.

Gambino has i guess been 'confirmed' for Roo so there is a CHANCE maybe, but then again that set he did in 2015 or 16 was when he debuted a bunch of stuff from then-unknown AML and that set got praise, I can see why they are bringing him back
As much as I'd love to think Bino will be there, really think Travis Scott will be the rap headliner.
Saw Bino at The Garden in 2018. He’d be a fantastic headliner in 19. Might have been my favorite show of 18, and I saw many shows.
He was one of my favs as well! I was like 10th row and made eye contact with him while he was on the part of the stage that juts out. definitely one of the most memorable. Brockhampton, Arctic Monkeys, David Byrne and Kendrick were up there as well.

Saw Byrne at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury before he started the big summer tour. Was one of the 1st shows, and in a theatre. Amazing!

I was maybe 50 feet away from the stage and it's most likely one of my favroite shows i ever saw, right up there with david byrne's gig. brillaint show
that's the other thing idk if he could beat that show, especially if it's a different production than the Graden show.
EDIT: wow everyone here saw Byrne and Bino what a time to be alive

Saw bino from the uppers and was so impressed. I was right on top of the section that ran into the crowd though. So good!
Crossing my fingers for Childish Gambino and/or Tame Impala. I also have a feeling foo fighters dropped due to their lack of appearance on the roo lineup and chevy metal playing bottlerock.

The thing that sucks the most about waiting for this lineup is the fact that we dont really get scoops or leaks. The only indicators we have are tour dates and people on twitter who saw it saying its underwhelming.

You do have Travis and 21 Pilots
Is travis for sure? or just an assumption based on tour dates?

A source on twitter came up to me (pretty sure she's part of the street team), confirming to me the lineup is out Thursday. I was like "You SURE YOURE SURE" and she said "Yup!", then quickly followed up with "yes I've heard it's underwhelming but hopefully that's just hip-hop fans b/c if Flo and TOP headline what's the issue".

so Thursday it is?
The "issue" is that a lot of people (myself included) hate TOP and would rather have "rock headliner" money go to a good rock band... but oh well. I've resigned to just accept it at this point.
Sounds like she hasn't actually seen a lineup, but good to know it's coming out on Thursday. Still wish they would've just said that publicly through some dumb Twitter post or something.
If there's a good undercard, I'll excuse 21P cause they'll move a lot of tickets.
They will keep all the kiddies in the mud at the other end of the fest while I vibe out on that sweet sweet turf at the Blue stage. Bring on the lineup!
Two years ago, all the kids were at Chance/Green. Meanwhile, Sigur Ros was amazing a criminally undersized crowd on Blue. And then I left, beating out all the Green traffic.

I'm hoping for something similar.
Put, say, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds or Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on the Blue Stage, and I really don't care if it's a 21P, Travis Scott, & Post Malone superjam on the main stage at the same time.
However this thing plays out, at least I know that I've got a couple of new shows to look forward to this Spring. Just found out that Jeff Tweedy solo and Guided By Voices are coming to Boston this spring. After missing the last two shows I had tickets for, because of a death in the family immediately prior to them, it feels good to be filling up my concert calendar again.

There's usually a hook of some sort to their lineup drop -- event at Tasty Burger, scavenger hunt for vinyl, mailing out cardboard, tweeting clues, music-challenged sports talk hosts announcing the lineup, etc. It would be odd for them to just announce it on Thursday morning.
