I can't imagine ALL of these acts who may have been booked for this thing MONTHS in advance before the lineup dropped ALL found scheduling conflicts... it's not a good look on the this thing
Hoping the set times are out soon. Pit tix for Anderson .Paak at Mohegan Sun are going for 80 bucks and im gonna hop on it if I can't see him at BC
Late nights getting announced tomorrow, so my guess is schedule next week (prob also Wednesday) especially now that the lineup seems to have stabilized given the video they posted on Twitter. I'm holding out on Paak tickets in Atlanta for the same reason.
After shows at the Sinclair: Friday: Tank and the Bangas / Adia Victoria Saturday: Big Red Machine (DJ set) / Naeem (DJ set) Sunday: Chromeo (DJ set) / Joe Bermudez

Stabilized, pasteurized, homogenized, and ready for consumption by everyone from sad-eyed 13 year old girls who don't know the difference between Big Star's "Thirteen" and a toaster oven to raging college bros clad unironically in Abercrombie & Fitch.
Talib Kweli was asked why Black Star dropped out of Boston Calling: "It’s simple. Black Star asks for 50% deposit in order to guarantee a show. Boston Calling refused to pay that. So we had to cancel. They replaced us with Lil Nas X. Enjoy!"
Would bet this is why Janelle Monae dropped as well. Extremely disappointing
Like Don Quixote tilting at windmills, I'm doing my part in a valiant, yet futile attempt to improve this month's Boston Calling lineup at the eleventh hour.

Is this different/more than what other bands do? I don't really have the context needed to know whose side to be on.

I'll bet that acts are flexible on this when it's a LiveNation or AEG-owned festival, because artists need those concert industry giants more than either of them need any one artist, but MSG can only hold a mid-tier festival, a small festival taking the year off, one of two NYC arenas, and a handful of seated theaters in NYC and Boston over their heads, which means the artists have bargaining power.

Leave enema's out of this, they have more integrity than Greta Van Fleet.

Wow, how terribly unfunny. I’m truly embarrassed for you.

This from Larry Farnsworth?
If a State Farm insurance agent's office and a Wonder Bread regional distribution center hooked up and had an unwanted child, it would be named "Larry Farnsworth."

That and plugging your Twitter account when it's pretty obvious you're about as loved as Krisplettuce around here.

That was less a case of "plugging my Twitter account" than suggesting, by example, that if the only feedback Boston Calling gets is that everything they do is great and wonderful, they'll keep doing more of the same.
If you're unhappy with a booking like Greta Van Fleet, let them and the band know about it. Maybe they'll book better lineups in the future if they know when people are unhappy about one booking or another.

That’s right my name is Larry Farnsworth.
Come to Sherwin-Williams store #3820 if you want an ass-kicking.
If I don't like some act on the lineup, I'm not going to go on social media and start bitching about it. Just because I don't like it means that someone else won't see it. I have no desire whatsoever to see 21 Pilots. But there's a lot of people in the area that do, so let them have their fun.
If the lineup sucks and the event doesn't sell well, BC either adapts or folds. BC puts out a lineup that it feels it's diversified enough to draw a big enough crowd - it doesn't owe any individual person anything based upon their specific tastes.
I know GVF sounds like a Zeppelin ripoff. There's still gonna be a bunch of people there at their set. Depending on the schedule, I may check some of it out.

Exactly. While some of it isn't my cup of tea, it certainly will be someone elses. And thats why they have multiple stages, you don't have to see artists you dislike lol.

Any idea how/where I would find my presale (promo) code for buying a Boston Calling ticket?
