I'll admit, pretty worried about the weather this year. Usually its pretty damn warm by this part of the month but its still kinda chilly. Here's hoping it gets warmer but I'm not holding my breath.

I will take chilly after getting sun-baked at Shaky Knees...minimal to no rain would be nice, though.

I'm still pissed about missing Volcano Choir Fall 2014 due to the damn weather. I was blessed with no cancellations the two Mays I went. I'll take whatever weather doesn't include cancelling shows. I'm expecting it to be like 2017 with some rain some days and to be chilly, but not really affect the festival.

Considering that it's been raining two out of three days for the last month or so with no end in sight on the long range forecasts, I'd say that the odds are pretty good that it's going to be another bad weather year for Boston Calling.
Boston Calling e-mailed a grounds map this morning. The only differences I noticed from last year are no IKEA pavilion and the removal of food vendors from the Blue stage area.

Is there really only one water refill station for the entire grounds?
I really liked the IKEA installation... sucks that it's gone and turned into VIP. I also don't believe they'd actually have 0 food vendors at the blue stage area. I know it's what the map showed, but it seems questionable.
Anything worthwhile to see early on Friday? So far my first pick is Gang of Youths
Turnstile. Dont really care for Pale Waves or Bear Hands. wish Gang of Youths werent conflicting with Mura Masa and Lord Huron though, will be missing them because of that.

Maye not exactly Boston calling news but David Byrne is doing some month-long engagement at Emerson's Colonial Theater Sept 11-28 for a special preview of David Bryne's American Utopia- same band and set but i think different set list- which opens on Broadway in October and i am HYPED

I've been seeing FAR too many giveaways for this thing over the last few days. now TD Garden is giving away passes which they've never done for the festival. this is not great to say the least

Anyone know what Imogen Heap is going to be doing in the Arena? Is she playing her songs? Is she just doing a DJ set? Is she doing a TED Talk? My friend who I'm going with asked me this, and I realized I had no answer for them.

Just got a survey via email that was really detailed, all about the festival. Wrote the kind of stuff that I've written here in the past. So now they better give me a gift card!
Looks like there's some rain in the forecast for next weekend (when does it not, right?) Right now it's between Friday and Saturday. Hopefully it'll shoot the gap and be overnight Friday into Saturday, so the festival itself is dry. But we'll find out, being a week out.
Weather seems to be turning for the better with only spot showers. Just got the last pass for my crew on stubhub for $175 a ticket after fees, so prices are def dropping

It sure would be nice to see Saturday night's forecast clear up (he said, selfishly).
