So what you guys thinking? My guess is 15k people, 20 tops. Was definitely a bigger crowd when I was here two years ago.
This is my 7th Calling. I would guess this is a smaller attendance than any of the city hall plaza iterations. I think they barely hit 15k
it's such a shame, im seeing all the photos online too and even Greta Van fleet had a scary small crowed it looked like. i mean, they suck, but they were one of the 'bigger' acts on the lineup this year.
loved BC since my first time in 2014 but damn this will stink if this kills em'
Honestly, BC probably needs to retool and/or move to a different part of the year.
They're nothing special or different from a Govs Ball or Firefly, except those two are drawing from bigger populations. So there's no real reason for people outside New England to come here. At least not with how they booked this year and the one before.
If they went (back) to September, say a week or two before ACL - they'd at least look different than the rest of the major East coast fests.

also if they come back to September they'll get the college Boston crowd they don't get currently. imagine a lineup of the cure/ childish /tame in sept of this year instead of what we got lol
regardless they'd never get that top line since they ARENT acl, but still
On the road, y’all. Hoping to get there in time to see Betty Who...and hoping that rain tonight holds off until the last note of Tame Impala.
Betty Who > Shame > Superorganism > Mitski > Big Red Machine > Anderson .Paak > ODESZA > Tame Impala
SAME. Probably be there around 3, pending early check-in. Wearing a green Neutral Milk Hotel shirt, grey shorts, black Dr. Martens, and black sunglasses.
Looks like the rain chances are shifting until after midnight now. There's a 35% chance around 11 pm, but is up around 80% around 2 am. Then should be dry Sunday except for maybe a pop up storm. It's looking a little more favorable, hopefully the rain stays away during fest hours.
This place is empty. Pretty cool being able to move around so easily but if I cared about this thing surviving id be worried
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Maybe they go more strongly for acts which have broader or older age appeal. I assure you, if they had booked Ice Cube instead of Denzel Curry, and The Strokes instead of Twenty One Pilots, they would have sold many more tickets. #OldDude

I'm calling it right now -- there will be more people crammed into the Blue stage area for Hozier than at Green or Red for Tame Impala, Odesza, or .Paak.
(After seeing .Paak's great performance on CBS Saturday Morning today -- they usually tape the musical performances a few days earlier -- I'm so disappointed that they aren't back-to-back at the same end of the festival grounds. Both have fresh takes on R&B, from .Paak's jazzy Donny Hathaway vibe to Hozier's Irish soul/folk mystic.)

Denzel Curry is the shit though
I'm not knocking his music, per se, just his name recognition among, and his appeal to, Gen X and Boomers.
