I'm honestly more concerned about an invasion of the festival by MAGA chodes than I am by the idea of protestors.
This I would agree with. Anyway....let's talk about the countdown to the fest instead. We thinking this week or next?! I really hope we get Coachella today, followed by BC and this tomorrow. Make returning to work a little less painful
So, what's going around now is that the Coachella announcement was supposed to happen today, but the Kanye deal falling through has left them searching for a replacement headliner and delayed the full lineup drop until next week...which means we wouldn't be seeing this lineup until next week, too...assuming all these rumors are true, of course.

There talk Kanye has dropped out but I haven’t seen anything saying it was delayed other then people asking hypothetical questions. At this point I don’t think anyone knows for sure at this point. Coachella is likely trying to get it out ASAP. Other lineups are still gonna release theirs and Coachella prefers to be the first.

1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Not bad. I’m jealous about Tame Impala - I know it’s not technically impossible for them to do both this and Primavera, but I think it’s a super-long shot.

So are we thinking Kids See Ghosts - Gambino - Florence? I'd much rather have Tame Impala than KSG, but I guess it's a tough one with their tour schedule.

I'm kind of less sold on KSG as a lock, at this point, if Kanye's going to stick to his guns about stage construction and the like. TMZ is a rag, but they did quote someone as saying he's done with festivals. But, I don't know - that's likely also just wishful thinking on my part.
So, assuming KSG is in, there are a few names I'd be thinking of for that third headliner slot: Childish, Rihanna, Metallica, Foo Fighters, and my dark horse, The Cure (who have a nice gap in their tour schedule that coincides well with the festival dates).

Wouldn’t mind if we got Childish Gambino, though.
Also playing Paris that weekend (We Love Green, either Saturday or Sunday). Ruled out.
So Boston Calling today if you previous statement is correct?
Festival Owl on twitter (idk if it's super reliable I just know they/he/she whatever the account is exists and has been metioned on here before) said "Next lineups: Gov Ball & Roo" so idk
So Boston Calling today if you previous statement is correct?
That was my own assumption based off of previous years line up releases and Coachella being released last night. Based off of everything I've heard today seems like GovBall beginning next week and BC later in the week or the week after.

Given the fact that Bonnaroo has now come out and said they're putting out their lineup on Tuesday, I'm starting to think GovBall might drop tomorrow. I don't know. It would seem weird to me for them to announce on Monday, allowing only 24 hours before another major festival puts its lineup out there and dominates the headlines. Were it me, I'd want a couple of news cycles all to myself.
Then again, I have always sucked at marketing, so this could be the absolute and total incorrect take.

I would assume they are missing a number one
Agree. Lot harder for a Live Nation fest to nail a replacement headliner because the festival isn’t priority #1. Could be a while
