I don’t know...I mean they did already once drop a lineup with a headliner blurred out in 13
Was it Guns n Roses? Pretty sure they did in 2014 with The Strokes too
It was Guns n Roses in 2013. In 2014, The Strokes were a last minute add. I heard that Eminem was in talks to headline Sunday that year - which did’t come to fruition. Vampire Weekend Headlined Sunday with The Strokes playing before Jack White Saturday with their own line on the original poster.

If I'm remembering correctly, they said in the AMA in 2014 that they were originally gunning for Pearl Jam-Outkast-Eminem.....PJ never signed in the end but it sounded like Em was a lock and then backed out to do that tour with Rihanna instead.
In 2013 Atoms for Peace were the third headliner but had to reschedule their US tour and backed out last minute, so they kept that 3rd name blurred and eventually got Guns N Roses.
It’s not worth making it’s own thread over, but do you all think Panorama is just going to disappear into the night or do you think they’ll say something on the lack of a return?
Kanye West with an innovative stage design that even Coachella couldn't do > Kendrick Lamar performing the same set that he's been doing the last two years and asking which side is the livest
Kanye West wearing a MAGA hat and ranting for 30 minutes < Kendrick Lamar performing the same set that he's been doing the last two years and asking which side is the livest
Honestly I think Coachella pulled Ye because he wouldn’t stop with the Trump stuff. It would be a pretty big coincidence that just after the Ye rumors for Coachella came around that he said he was out of politics and a day before he drops out he tweets support of trump saying he can’t be controlled

I will say Kendrick at the initial Panorama with a full band was epic...not sure if he did that same show everywhere

I mean that's just bad handling of artists if you're telling them what they shouldn't say or wear onstage three months before a show. You know what you're getting yourself into with Kanye West. Personally, I'd probably just talk to him right before the show and say "hey Kanye I really like your hair, it looks super cool. I think it would look super cool on stage. You should definitely show off your cool haircut to the audience (and not cover it up with any hats or anything)

Sometimes I get sad thinking about how I'll probably never see a Kendrick Lamar concert as good as the King Kunta Groove Sessions tour again.
I have no real idea who to expect here except Florence and the artists playing their GB Presents shows. Feel like it'll either be pretty damn good, or super mid
Have any of y'all been to Gov Ball more than once that aren't from the area? I went in 2017, some of the shows were great but I doubt I will ever go again. Went with a group of friends and also hadn't been to NY before so I had a good time, but certainly wasn't my favorite fest.

Went from 2014-2017, had a blast every time. Skipped 2018, didn't love the lineup. Hoping they'll have some more for me this year.

How is the vibe, food, logistics compared to bigger fests such as Coachella?

For me, never been to Coachella specifically but other fests, logistics were fine if you understand it is in NYC. Prepare for a long walk to get into the festival but not much inside. Food was fine, overpriced like everywhere. Vibes were alright, but crazy different day to day. Like the day Phoenix and Gambino headlined the average age felt like it was 18. Not a negative vibe but just a ton of high school kids. Then on Sunday when TooL headlined it was a shit ton of middle-aged fans, and a bit more aggressive. Overall not any really negative experiences with people but it is a city fest in NYC so there isn't really a vibe throughout the weekend. There are so many people just going for a single day each day. At least it felt that way when I went.

I'd like the best from Firefly's undercard: Vampire Weekend, Tyler, Brockhampton, Courtney Barnett, Car Seat Headrest, Snail Mail, etc. with three good headliners. Well, Florence and two more.
