Remember when the 1975 were bigger than jack White? Yea me niether
In 2019, they are judging by ticket sales.
Jack White isn’t touring in 2019 currently. His tour was nearly sold out every date (May-oct) the 1975 still have half of there venues unsold and ARENT EVEN HEADLINING FEST IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. Next
Worst 3 headliners in the history of the fest. Tyler was the contingency plan, really?....
Enough with The Strokes for god’s sake. They got lucky they had a solid day around them the last two times they played but this isn’t going to fly this time. They really ahould add a real headliner to Friday, and I feel like they will.

They could have done far worse with this lineup. There really isn’t anyone that sticks out as a particularly bad booking, but I’ll only probably only get in Saturday or Sunday of this given the lack of a strong headliner.
Why book the strokes with no other rock/indie of note?
Last year when they did Gaslight the had Manchester, Japandroids, Menzingers on that day - at least there was some thought - there was white boy guitar path and Travis Scott/Halsey/Galantis/Silk City path
This is just nonsense.
Flo day is ok - at least you can go Lord Huron > 1975 > Flo.
I don’t mind the last of strong headliners but even the undercard just doesn’t move me. I’m 35, so probably out of touch but there are names on the third line I don’t recognize while some of the bottom lines are more familiar.
The Strokes AGAIN? Meh. Not a big Florence fan either. While there are maybe 2 or 3 on the undercard that I will be a little sad about missing, there is not enough there that is compelling me to go on any day. Taking a pass this year.
11/28 Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) 12/4 Interpol 12/14 LCD Soundsystem 12/31 Billy Joel 1/25 The Killers (Las Vegas) 2/12 Jack White 2/25 Father John Misty 3/6 Inhaler 4/10 Franz Ferdinand 4/17 Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 5/15 Amyl & the Sniffers 5/18 Fontaines D.C. 9/1 Oasis
If you pretend KSG are atop Friday, it becomes a lot better
That's probably what happend and booked Lil Wayne last minute to replace the void a bit.
I was thinking the Strokes are the fill in and Tyler was the traditional Gov Ball third headliner that people complain isn’t a headliner but really kinda is. But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also yeah if Kids See Ghost had been in front of Tyler i think it would make this look a lot better. It’s still not a bad lineup but nothing exciting to travel for unfortunately.

Bold statement of mine but Tyler deserves it more than The Strokes even tho he pulls less people (probably).

The Strokes - Florence & the Machine - Tyler, the Creator Lil Wayne - SZA - Nas - Brockhampton - Kacey Musgraves - Gesaffelstein Kaytranada - Vince Staples - Blood Orange - Mitski - Beast Coast - The Voidz Denzel Curry - Lily Allen - Noname - Bob Moses - US Girls - Caustious Clay Soccer Mommy - Clairo - Sunflower Bean - Parcels - The Underachievers
Strong lineup imo. I don't expect Bonnaroo to be much better than this other than being bigger with 1-3 more out there names. The hip-hop on it is awesome.

looking at the whole day it looks like it was going to be a celebration of 2018 Kanye (lol) with Nas, 070Shake, and KSG and then KSG dropped out.
took out everything I view as filler that I know I wouldn't see. Leaves 26 that I'd be interested to see without doing any research. There was a lil over 40 at coachella with a much larger lineup. So I don't think this is bad at all.

I mean, first, let me get this out of the way: NO KANYE YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!
Whew. OK. Moving on...
I'm definitely the most underwhelmed I've been with a lineup since I started going in 2014. Which isn't to say I think it'll be a bad time, per se; there's enough there that I think I'll be able to muster three days of good sets out of it, and a weekend spent outside listening to live music still beats most ways I could spend my time. But, yeah, there's no name here that makes me super-excited the way, say, Tool did in '17, or Jack White last year, or Outkast in '14. It's definitely the weakest lineup of headliners they've had, and I say that as someone who's actually pretty into seeing Florence. I mean, Tyler? Headlining a major festival? I dunno. Plus, the Strokes...I know it'll have been three years, and I had a great time at their set in '16, but it feels a bit tired, at this point. And, overall, Friday is just a really weak day, for me - starting from the top, there's no one I really want to see until Mitski, and I just caught her at Brooklyn Steel a month ago. I mean, who closes the Honda on Friday opposite Tyler? Gesaffelstein?
That said, there's some good stuff on the undercard, and hip-hop fans, in particular, have a lot to hang their hat on. I'm psyched to see Noname, Soccer Mommy, Vince Staples, and Lord Huron on there, and Kacey Musgraves is an interesting booking.
So, yeah. I honestly wonder if this thing's going to undersell. Even most of the positive reaction I've seen so far has been people talking themselves into it. I'm one of those people, for sure. It's going to be an interesting summer.
