I didn't fill all the acts, the last line or so for each day I think many of them will end up at the hub stages.
Oof that Bob Moses vs Unknown Mortal Orchestra vs Tyler conflict would be so evil so that means it's probably correct. Griz pre-headliner on Sunday would be a perfect end with an early exit. Sorry Post Malone.
This mock also highlights how weird it is that Thursday doesn't exist. Hopefully they announce a pre-party of sorts somewhere between past Wednesday and Thursday caliber.

I saw on facebook around the time the lineup came out that Hangout Fest does a preparty the night before (just like Firefly would do Wednesday) and it had some higher up acts. For instance, the one I saw had Migos preforming the night before the festival. While I'm not saying I want Migos, the fact that they had a band of that "caliber' preforming the night before gives me hope that they could have a solid Thursday night party for North campers.

That mock is annoying because the good acts conflict and there aren't enough to start with. Having said that, this lineup isn't Hangout level bad. Could make a fun weekend out of it if money wasn't a thing.
That’s easy. Bob Moses is just becoming progressively more boring (and their live show wasn’t much to write home about as it was).
Meanwhile UMO has literally been on fire.
I would pick UMO if this was for reals but missing Tyler would hurt the most. I'm not sure what his live set is like really but the new album is awesome and his Tiny Desk was mesmerizing.
They're trying to spin it that since Travis Scott was asked to play the super bowl, it's a huge deal that he is headlining Firefly as well. That sounds so stupid to me.
And Death Cab could never come anywhere close to being in the same league with Portugal. The Man's set last year. It's such a damn shame that the quality dipped so much this year, that such a random an irrelevant band would be seen by the festival as "equal" to a band that had been touring nearly nonstop for like 13-14 years, releasing classic album after classic album, and only getting more popular with every release. In 2017 PTM won a much deserved Grammy, had three hit singles on pop radio, and put on a fucking amazing tour.

What has Death cab done recently?
thought you were talking about death cab before you ended it with 'PTM' lol

PTM is great, no doubt, but it could be argued they are just more recently successful. Death Cab has stood the test of time since the 90's. They have a grammy just like PTM and a new album in 2018 and have done headlining tours. Keep in mind though, I F'n hate Death Cab.

What’s with this random outburst? Firefly has not mentioned Travis Scott since the lineup was announced let alone the Super Bowl announcement. They aren’t spinning anything Travis Scott (sadly) is the most reasonable headliner paying.
I love PTM but they’ve been around since the early mid 2000’s. They have recently started headlining their own tours and their most recent albums are their most “successful”. Death Cab has been selling out tours since the 2000’s. That alone makes them a more quality act imo.
That being said that PTM set was magical this past year!
This fest has a lot of the best parts of the coachella undercard. its really not that bad tbh
The undercard is fine. Good if not great. Subheadliners are ok, a lot of recycled stuff. Even the headliners are understandable, EXCEPT panic at the disco. That’s the real problem. If that spot was Arcade Fire or a legacy act or even just like Green Day the whole lineup looks better. You start off a lineup poster staring at Panic at the Disco at the headliner spot and it’s just impossible to recover your optimism.
It’s like an old mans dream lineup, you can see all you want to see from 1PM-9PM.
I took a nap one year that accidentally extended through Outkast (RIP ME) - but that said I was very refreshed for Pretty Lights (admittedly the worst set I've seen him play). A nap during Panic could be the move...
Yea I’d be more upset about this had my work not made it very difficult to stay remote for the usual 6ish days necessary for the normal Firefly’s week. I mean there will still be a pre party in north camping, but the Thursday “half” day was actually my favorite day. Especially when there was actually decent acts to see like Glass Animals or Local Natives.
