There's also front row viewing passes for $89 a day....
I get why people are mad about this but if I can be front row or front 3 rows even, for $89 bucks, that’s a no brainer of a deal.
But the problem is I didn’t see any option for a “front row weekend pass”, it’s just a daily thing. So if I’m going the whole time, I would have to buy three separate front row passes for myself, and theee for my girlfriend, which comes out to $534 before fees, which is about how much I paid for both of our GA weekend passes.
It’s just Bullshit. For people with a single day pass it’s not so bad, but for someone who invested in the whole weekend it’s a kick to the dick.

think about this another way tho, would you rather do VIP or Front Row Pass. The latter is cheaper than the first as well

Every fest should just have a pit like Bonnaroo. You can guarantee your spot if you get super VIP or whatever but also give a good chance to legitimate fans. Hanging in the back of the pit is the best spot other than rail imo and it takes a whole lot less waiting.

There's no 2019 map yet, so we don't know whether this special front row pit is only a small portion of the main stage area or whether it takes up all the best spots.
But I was surprised too that weekend holders don't have the option of buying this as a 3 day upgrade. Not that such an upgrade should exist in the first place...

I'm guessing between VIP, super VIP (or whatever area that was they put in last year), and this new front row thing it will take up the entirety of the front rail.

This was salt in the wound and what really pissed me off. If there was an option to get a weekend front row pass for like $100, I would be more open to the idea.
But selling it each day individually, that’s just being a broke ass bitch that’s greedy and trying to suck the consumer (what few there must be) for every cent you can.
Imagine how expensive shit in the festival will be at this rate.

Thanks for your support and we hope to see you at the Woodlands in June!
I don't see White Panda on the lineup? How is the beach club any different than the pre-party? Isn't it at the same stage?
White Panda is on Saturday and in the middle of the list on the new poster.
The Beach Club is apparently a bunch of sets happening in the hubs on Fri-Sun during the afternoon hour. I wonder if they are having a beach themed setting there with chairs, sand, and a bar?
Anyone else get/take the survey FF sent out today? Pretty interesting they are doing this a month plus before the festival and not after... must really be struggling to move tickets (as expected). This is the first year I will not be attending and it makes me pretty sad... it was my first festival experience and I always really enjoy it (4-days, the festival grounds are incredible at night, ease to get to from the Philly area) regardless of the decline in lineup the past few years... I sort of hope they get back to their roots and I will absolutely go again next year. I don't blame them for what it has become, but just not for me and I hope it returns to more of the original vision. If not, oh well... plenty of other fests out there

I didnt get a survey unless its in my spam. But anyways I really think they are struggling this year with ticket sales. If you attract the younger demo with a lineup of Panic, Travis Scott and Post Malone what do you expect. That demo doesnt have any money and will pack as many people in a camping space as possible. Also will not be spending money on alcohol and other things in the festival. Really hope firefly can figure things out for next year.
Pretty much the booking that saved me from selling my ticket. I'll mostly be wondering around causing trouble like Michael Scott for three days beforehand I guess.
Getting antsy for this schedule. Could come any day now, likely next week. Someone on reddit compiled past release dates:
2013: May 15
2014: May 28
2015: June 4
2016: May 17
2017: May 25
2018: May 31
Yea it's usually the week of Memorial Day. It's a sad predicament but I'm not as worried about the schedule because there is so little I am truly excited for. I just want to see where Vampire Weekend is playing/how long and how the late night is scheduled (particularly for Saturday with Passion Pit).

Not too many conflicts for me considering the tightness of the schedule. Courtney Barnett vs Bob Moses partial and Phosphorescent vs Rubblebucket. Pretty excited to see the new stages.

Fuck, just what I feared: they put Death Cab on the main stage in front of Travis Scott. The crowd up front is going to fucking suck.
In a way it's cool that acts such as Snail Mail and Let's Eat Grandma get to play in the evening, but now it doesn't seem worth checking them out versus getting good spots at other acts (plus you miss out on some of it based on the time it takes to walk around).
So is the Hideaway the Backyard? Or WTF happened there? Is there a map out somewhere?
There we some rumors on FB that the Dogfish Head tent and the Pavilion Stage were switching places. I'm guessing by the schedule the the Hideaway Stage replaced the Pavilion. Guessing The Prism is replacing The Backyard and no idea where The Roost is going to be...
