Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If it doesn’t come back I hope something will be brought about to replace it, there is definitely a void for what it provided. Would be tough to replace the uniqueness and beauty of the location though.
You have to look way closer and over the 3 years IMHO. But for the record, I know people who go to both. Hulaween is more aligned with jam and trippy based crowd with rap, rock, edm and limited pop thrown in. Okee is a bit more accessible but overall geared to a bit of a younger crowd. It features lot of different genres and an occasional crossover act. But they're not the same festivals. FWIW, I texted your post to my daughter who first asked if you were reliable (I said often) and she told me she'd be crying real thug tears if so. Not sure what that means, but I guess I could look it up.

So who’s most likely to buy into this? Livenation, AC, AEG? You have to think with how well things were going the last three years the investors didn’t do this without having another offer, plans etc

I know a guy who has a lot of blood and semen stock piled for just such a thing.

Noooooo. I've been having a bad feeling about Okee for a few weeks but didn't want to verbalize it into existence. It just seemed too weird with ZERO announcement on even dates, let alone ticket sales.
REALLY hoping someone else takes them on. But it's only 6 months away. Can it still be possible?

Not looking good for Okee. Festive owl reports "RE: Okeechobee — There isn’t anything I can specifically show that wouldn’t compromise a source but one piece of evidence comes from artists management and publicity outlets that received abrupt emails saying — “Festival is on hold for 2019. Not 100% coming back.”"

Someone on the Earthlings FB group mentioned that new investment deals may take a while to be revealed to the public "due to insider trading rules from the SEC." He also hinted that he knows some info but doesn't want to say anything due to legality.
Could be bullshit, but the investor thing makes sense.

I'm confused. What would insider trading have to do with it?

I'm guessing there are rules when another investor takes them on or makes a deal? I have little to no knowledge of how festivals work. Anyone else have insight?

There are certainly rules but I doubt any of them have to do with insider trading. Insider trading would be if someone from a publicly traded company (i.e on the stock exhnages) sold or bought shares based on information not yet available to the public. That in and of itself would not hold up a deal as the deal would likely have to be close for an insider to have information to trade on and it would have nothing to do with the transaction itself.
Well the only publicly traded company that does anything with festivals is Live Nation
There are others including video and audio service companies. I’d be more willing to believe a confidentiality agreement between the companies moreso than insider trading.
Go to the Okeechobee County Property Appraiser website and see what those tracts represent. There will be a google mapping option that will draw in or shade those areas. Soundslinger must have owned property as they have deeded it to Soundslinger Investments. May be nothing, but it looks like a real property transfer typical for Florida. I didn't know that Soundslinger owned the grounds that Okee was on if in fact these are those.
Could mean they are starting a new entiity to run the festival so they transferred the land to their new entity.
Could mean they are getting ready to sell the land and are transferring it around for tax purposes, etc..
I was about to blow out of work which is why I didn’t do the digging. It’s a transfer either between related entities or an entity taking a close/similar name. The deed says 10.00 and good and valuable considerations but there should be a transfer tax amount (Florida Doc Stamps) printed on the recorded copies. The Florida transfer tax rate is 0.7% so 7.00 per $1,000 of purchase price. Should be easy enough to figure out but I’m only on a phone.
