That may be the lamest fucking excuse I've read (outside of the political arena) in forever. That's really lame. The lamest. And hot daim if someone is going to interfere with the speckled perch rodeo and parade <-- even though it doesn't appear that anyone outside of the parade itself really gives a shit?

I think it's weird because I think last year was the same weekend as the rodeo they had, and the city/locals had minimal issues. I need to find the actual article but I know I read that. Okee has cops and security from several neighboring counties so they aren't spread so thin. I think the biggest issue would be traffic, since there are only two lane roads everywhere. And hotel rooms? It's a camping festival. No one is using hotel rooms that attend the fest.
IIRC, the city made a LOT of money from the fest. They're a poor county and Okee is a huge economic boost for them. I highly doubt the city will say no, but they may negotiate on when it could happen.
They would have to either have it Feb 27-Mar 1, which coincides with III Points, or have it the last weekend of March, which coincides with Ultra.

Update: Won't be March 5-8.
So. It'll either be Feb 27 - Mar 1, or Mar 12 - 15. The second one seems to be way more of a solid choice. The weather should still be pretty pleasant, and still coincides with college spring breaks. III Points is that first weekend. Honestly I wouldn't mind since I was FREEZING all 3 years at night lol.
