In terms of pure numbers, no idea, but Moses Sumney played to a very empty What field this year. Much more people were at Pond.
I like Moses but this makes me happy
I showed up halfway through and it was hard to find a spot to lay down in the back and this was at like 3? Both were good though. I met Moses in the Anderson Paak pit that night.
Two days in a row of Earl Sweatshirt teasers. Dont know if its just a video/single or album preview, but somethings happening. He owes Roo a make up show still.
What's the most sparsely attended set you've seen at Bonnaroo? (excluding like the club stages and Christmas tent etc.)
Mine was Steve Gunn in 2016. Poor guy sounded great but I walked up to rail halfway through. There were more people at Grandma Sparrow even iirc
Bob Moses in 2016 was hilarious, especially the first half as it filled a little bit as it went on. When they started it felt like 40 people were there.

I wish I had gone to Purity Ring/Bob Moses instead of Tame Impala. I caught the first few Purity Ring songs then went to Tame, and although I love Tame's music I was so tired at that show that it felt like a chore to be there, and it wasn't really anything spectacular IMO. I hope Bob Moses comes back next year, their new album is solid.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Yeah I’m not expecting them to book someone like him in 2019 but he’s played before albeit a decade ago when booking was different. I’m holding out hope

Saw Blondie being booked on quite a few lineups, they’d be a good get. Anyone seen them recently, they still rocking? If they aren’t here I could see SK getting them.

Saw them at Osheaga. Debbie sounded good for her age, the band was excellent. Helps that they have such good songs to work with! I think they'd be a much better fit at SK but I don't they're impossible for Roo either

Was at that show and was not feeling it at all. A fun booking but a really awkward show in execution

since you guys felt so differently about them, what made it an awkward show for you??

It felt really corny and that they were trying to be super rock and roll but Debbie’s energy was just not there. She kinda danced around awkwardly. There was also a song that she rapped on that was no bueno

Rapture.
I can't listen to that song because it's bad, but I understand it was a big deal at the time as it represented the connection between the NYC punk and hip-hop communities.
