Post here about artists that might play Bonnaroo, but won't headline.
Roo clues: #1 - The Nude Party #2 - Clairo #3 - Little Simz #4 - Parquet Courts #5 - Gojira #6 - Shovels and Rope #7 - ZHU #8 - The Lonely Island
Jesus4jews: The Avett Brothers The Lumineers Post Malone Girl Talk
Supposed vendor that I don't really trust because all three of these are good: Alanis Morrisette Janelle Monae Robyn
Touring with no TN date: Vince Staples Zomboy Young the Giant Maceo Plex Idles James Blake Gucci Mane G Jones Flogging Molly Deafheaven Cypress Hill Beats Antique A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie A$AP Rocky Cherry Glazerr Com Truise The Districts JRAD Kevin Morby
Some artists I'd actually love to see on the lineup:
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Janelle Monáe Bonobo Shame Justice DJ Seinfeld Beach House Lykke Li Brent Cobb Jorja Smith Tedeschi Trucks Band White Denim Kelly Lee Owens Vijay Iyer Sextet Open Mike Eagle Amy Helm
Bonobo The avalanches Kaytranada Jamie xx Jade cicada Beach house Amber Coffman Hurray for the riff raff Jim James Break science Rex Orange County The moondoggies
I think floating points late night somewhere would be awesome. Him and his band are tight as hell and they "jam" quite a bit. Plus they do have cool laserz.
I'm not really down with the type of edm roo usually books.
Vaccines Dancehall Shame Jeff rosenstock Sea and cake Courtney Barnett Hop along The breeders Parquet courts
Are all rock bands that put out some cool stuff this year. I doubt more than 2 are on the lineup tho.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Thing about Gizz is that it was set up so well for them to play this year and it didn't happen. I don't think they'll never book them again but I think that makes it pretty unlikely in 2019.

I think part of not playing this year was on Gizz. Their festival slate is pretty clean this year, and the ones they're playing are ones that can give them a high billing. I'm guessing that was a deliberate move. If they change their strategy for next year, I don't see why Roo wouldn't be on the table.

Hope you're right, and I've heard similar stuff, but I think it's unlikely for them to be in the US the same time of year two years in a row.
Where do you think they'd be billed if they sorta got their way and got a high-ish billing? Like maybe around where Moon Taxi was? (Sixth line) Or even higher? I have no concept of how big, like, Rebelution is (end of fourth line).

I'd probably put them somewhere around Chromeo's spot.

I was sort of surprised at how low Parquet Courts were billed at Lollapalooza this year. I thought they were getting to be pretty big.
Posted this in the headliner thread, but it applies more here and includes artists I'd love to see anywhere on the lineup (other than ODESZA; don't really care about them):

That would be a great lineup slate. On thing is I'd want both Tycho and PL to have the sunrise sets. And if they have to do it in a barn or at Kalliope, so be it.

Tycho sunrise on the Kalliope would easily be one of my favorite sets, his burning man sunrise sets are incredible.

I listen to the 2015 Burning Man set pretty often. It's great to put on when the party's winding down.
I don't get why anyone thinks a "Kevin Parker Psychedelic Superjam" would be good
by all accounts, Kevin Parker seems like a unlikely choice for a haphazard, without a net, thrown together the week before the festival coverband/superjam.

"Hey guys, you know who would be good for this? The guy who meticulously crafts each and every moment of his music and is such a perfectionist he recorded 1,000 vocal takes for one song"
