Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Doesn't mean a whole lot but Mavis Staples and Dolly Parton duet on a song on Dolly's soundtrack from the movie Dumplin', so I'm gonna keep my hopes up for Dolly at the Fort.
Alright, I will be so bold as to say that Timbobsnow and I will be taking over for MrPotatoTrooper this year and running Bingo. If there are any concerns message me and we can figure it out. For now I will highly borrow from MrPotatoTrooper's bingo announcement last year....
**BINGO TIME**
Time to start up the bingo fun again.
You can either submit 48 artists to me and I will make the card randomly or you can submit them in the order you want to use for your card. Once they're all in, I'll post them all on the page for everyone to see. (Messaging them to me first just helps everyone have an equal chance, so no one can get ideas from cards posted before them)
Lets go with December 15th for a deadline and we will try to have the summary out by the end of the year.
Once the lineup starts rolling out, I'll keep track of all the acts.
Winner is whoever gets a full line of 7 on the bingo card first. As for buying a drink at the fort, I think this might be harder for me than organizing the Bingo game as I usually only find a couple of 30 minute windows that I am not super excited to see an act. Happy to buy a drink at night after the shows or a coffee in the morning early in line. Also open to brainstorming a proper prize.... I think most of us do it for the bragging rights and the fun of obsessing over the lineup.
If no one gets a full line, then the winner is the person who gets the most slots filled.
Here's what the winning card looked like from last year: (from MrPotatoTrooper himself)
Unannounced guests do not count towards bingos, because we won't know until after the fest. Only acts on the website once the "and many more" are gone from each day.
For those that are confusing like mixed acts, TimBobSnow and I will be the arbiters. We'll have to figure out what criteria we will use.
Pres Hall will be the free spot unless you want to replace it with something else. Pres Hall can not be a non-free spot.
Aaaand if we get any confirmations before your cards are in, please don't add them.

IS THAT ENOUGH RULES?!
Last year was super fun! The more the merrier!
Any questions/concerns/ideas, just let me know!
LET THE BINGOING BEGIN
Just to piggyback on this, since MrPotatoTrooper was kind enough to hook me up with a beer token at last year's fest, I am more than happy to pay that forward for next year's winner.
never too early to start the rumor mills or rule anyone out: post today from Forest Hills Stadium in Queens says the MMJ show there in August is the bands "only east coast date of the year"

Yeah they're saying these are their only shows this year, period. Which strikes me as odd if they do have a new album coming. But maybe they don't think it'll be ready until later in the year.
I'll roll with Dolly and a combo of Rateliff/Bridges/Hozier as our other two Fort closers
ACK!!! in light of the earlier announcements, let's move the Bingo due date up to this Sunday (give people the weekend.) Just keep in mind that if someone is announced on Friday, then you can not include them in a submission after so there is incentive to get it in before Friday.

And, of course, YAY Announcements and Yay Gregory Alan Isakov... although he was on my radar for my Bingo Card so dissapointed he won't be eligible now. And, congratulations to Sigurrosfan for being in the lead by turning in a bingo card last night with Gregory Alan Isakov on it.
I can’t handle band announcements already! Would love if they could settle on some routine (I love the anticipation of waking up on an announcement day); maybe 1 or 2 per week, hence the earlier start?
With that said, good start so far to the lineup!
Also, just as they position themselves to move in the other direction (holding off announcements until the fest itself), they start earlier than ever.

Anybody remember a song Kelsey Wilson sang toward the middle of the Glorietta set that was really rocking, maybe a bit up-tempo, totally awesome, but not on their record? Haven't been able to find it anywhere. I can't remember the lyrics but maybe they were something like "I just can't help burning bridges..."
The song I'm thinking of is definitely not Wild Child's Bridges Burning, although I suppose that' might be causing me to remember the lyrics incorrectly...

Setlist.fm lists two wild child covers. Expectations and Sinking Ships. Maybe on of those

Expectations! Thank you!
A little off topic, but when I saw Glorietta in Brooklyn, they played a song they said didn't make the album and it was awesome. Looking at setlist.fm I think it was Easy Does It. Hope they release it somehow.

the song you are thinking of is stranger's bed (see below for live version from world cafe.) easy does it is very much on the album.
Someone on the MMJ subreddit is saying they heard that the 3 shows the band just announced will be their last before breaking up/going on extended hiatus

I've literally heard that for many years. A few albums ago I heard they were calling it quits and they still kept going. I'll be disappointed if this happens but not going to believe it until I see it

I think if they knew they were breaking up they would announce these are the last shows. I lot more people would be interested.

Stranger’s Bed! Yes! Thanks mrsticks and thanks for the link.
true to the serendipitous and magical nature of newport, i spent these two announcements unaware of the artist or their work, only to this mornong look at my spotify top 100 and see my top 2 artists of 2018 were:
- darlingside - low cut connie
bands i barely knew a year ago and wouldn't have gotten into without the fest. the rest of my list is typically smattered with folkfest alum, ham+rostam, tyler, lucius. caamp. so with that in mind, bring in another lineup full of things new to me, i'm ready for it.

I am hoping for hiatus and not break up but I definitely got a ticket to the NYC show. Forest hills is pretty expensive but I'm excited to catch this show. Hopefully. Not one of the last
