The amount of rappers performing early on main stages is so baffling to me.
I would assume they’re trying to entice the younger crowd (80% of the crowd at Lolla) to get into the fest earlier and try to capture more food/drink revenue from having people there for more hours.
As a first timer to Lolla (and to Chicago) - does anyone have any recommendations on "Must Do's/Don'ts" at the fest? I will obviously see plenty of music, but what else does the festival offer that I should check out or things that are underwhelming that I should definitely skip?

The festival grounds are huge so when you’re planning out your day keep in mind it takes a good 15-20 minutes to get from one main stage to the other.
People rave about the lobster corn dogs, but I don’t really eat at festivals so I can’t help you there.

I second the previous response with the field layout. Just make sure when you're planning on going stage to stage that they're not on opposite sides of the park. In terms of additional attractions, there's not much to it. It's a city fest in a great city but there's nothing "special" about the grounds or the art.
I use to love the lobster corndog, but the novelty wore off after a few years. I usually just get Lou’s pizza. It’s cheap, fills you up, and easy to eat on the go.
Looks like A Giant Dog will be at Hideout Friday night, unaffiliated with Lolla. I'll be there if I don't score tix to whatever Metro show is going on then. It's gotta be Tame on Saturday right?
Will try to get tickets to Rufus, maybe Kali Uchis too? Probably not for her but I'll think about it depending on how much they cost. That's about it for me though. Really wanted a Rosalia show
When will they announce those missing Metro shows? And will they fill the blank slots at the Vic?
For The Vic I'd guess they'll do one for Thursday, but most places don't do after shows on Sunday night, there's normally only a handful of options. They'll announce the Metro shows sporadically throughout the summer. When Foo Fighters did an after there a couple of years ago it seemed like it was right before the festival
wait wait - did they say somewhere that Metro and Vic will definitely have more shows? Does that happen every year?
Since they've moved the festival to four days the Metro has always has shows Tuesday through Sunday, so I'd bank on them announcing more shows. The Vic normally has afters Wednesday through Saturday I'm pretty sure.
Tame would make sense but they're the only day I'm going to the fest so that doesn't do much for me. Plus I'd actually rather see them at the fest as opposed to the Metro with no production.
