I think there’s a decent chance they bring The Cure back if they’re doing a fall US tour, especially if they book them Thursday or Sunday to drive up some single day sales.
There was some hope for the Cure but they announced a show in Russia on Saturday of Lolla
So after Coachella’s lineup drop I think we can assume we share Tame Impala. Childish Gambino, maybe, but only if Tame wasn’t a headliner at Coachella until JT or Kanye dropped and they got bumped up. Lolla has never (to my recollection) shared 2 headliners in a single year with Coachella. Wish there were more “leaks” this year. This is the time of year when I start getting anxious and I want to book my hotel soon.

Tame seems like a given since they have been hinted for MoPop the week before. Lolla usually shares a headliner with them too. Gambino is interesting though because I do think that Tame got bumped up to replace JT or Kanye. I think leaks should start soon though. u/Jesus4Jews on reddit usually starts his leaking about this time every year. Hoping for something soon.
I personally think they would be North but an argument could probably be made for South. I really think they benefitted from JT dropping out of Coachella...it’s weird seeing them headline a Saturday there.

Ive always thought Tame would be the North Stage. Even if they were bumped up because of someone dropping out this Coachella slot definitely bumps their stock up. The question is whether or not Lollapalooza booked them before or after the stock rose. If they were able to book Tame as a North headliner that would be a good start for them.

I was under the impression that Twenty One Pilots would be a South headliner but we haven't seen them on any festivals yet so I'm curious to see where they end up. I feel like the north might be too stacked but I would love the top 8.

An argument could definitely be made for Twenty One Pilots to play the South. They sold out their entire arena tour almost instantly. They might move more tickets than Florence and definitely more than The Strokes but I feel like since The Strokes are more rare they’d be bumped up.

Agreed, if Lolla could pull off that lineup. That would be incredible.

Some guy on the subreddit said a friend of his who works at LN told him that the top 4 will feature an act that is U.S. exclusive and only playing Lolla. We’ll get a better idea when the Bonnaroo and Boston Calling lineups come out. Take it with a grain of salt though.

Britney? some J-pop/K-pop thing? Kanye? Spice Girls?

Also, the Foo Fighters are almost be a lock given their lack of inclusion on the Chicago Open Air line-up (can't see Riot Fest affording them, they are reportedly not doing Wrigley, and no other Chicago fest is a fit).
JT or someone like him would certainly be on C3/LN's wishlist given how well Bruno did last year. I just think someone like Gaga is more likely, given the Coachella situation.
Of course if he's NOT a lock for 2020, then that changes the math given his relationship with LN.
